As of Jan 1, 2014, Illinois prohibits use of all hand-held devices while driving, allowing only hands-free or headsets usage. 2. Ban on cell phone (hands-free and hand-held) use by school bus drivers. 3. Ban on cell phone (hands-free and hand-held) use by novice drivers. 4. Ban on cell phone use (hands-free and hand-held) in construction and schools zones. 5. Ban on texting for all drivers. 6. Ban on cell phone use (hands-free and hand-held) by all commercial vehicle drivers.

Available to all High Schools in the state of Illinois. 105 High Schools are selected each year High school students are incredibly creative and they come up with new and innovative ways to get the message across to their peers about safe driving. Three of the favorite slogans from last year s program were Don t crack up, buckle up, Could you live without me? and D.W.I. Drive with intelligence. Both of these programs were aimed at educating teens about the dangers of text messaging while driving.
