1 PETROLEUM STORAGE FACILITIES WITH UNCOMMITTED CAPACITY The National Energy Regulator ( the Energy Regulator ) is a regulatory authority established as a juristic person in terms of Section 3 of the National Energy Regulator Act, 2004 (Act No. 40 of 2004). The Energy Regulator s mandate is to regulate the electricity, piped-gas and petroleum pipelines industries in terms of the Electricity Regulation Act, 2006 (Act No. 4 of 2006), Gas Act, 2001 (Act No. 48 of 2001) and Petroleum Pipelines Act, 2003 (Act No. 60 of 2003) and the Petroleum Pipelines Levies Act, 2004 (Act No. 28 of 2004). The Energy Regulator would like to inform members of the public that the list of petroleum storage facilities identified to have that may be available for rental use by the third parties is available on its website ( select Petroleum Pipelines and Uncommitted Capacity). The fact that the Energy Regulator publishes such information does not guarantee prospective customers that there will always be available to third parties at those storage facilities. Complaints can be submitted to the Energy Regulator in accordance with section 31 of the Petroleum Pipelines Act, 2003 (Act No. 60 of 2003) and the Rules made in terms thereof.
