2 COURSES & BIRDS *Junior Course a single 15-minute course without a designated shooting area. *Senior and Master Course a single 30-minute course with a designated shooting area. *Native and liberated quail will be used in all stakes. *Only blank pistols (starter pistols) may be used in Junior Hunt Tests. *All live shooting will be done by Official Gunners. *Horseback handling is NOT permitted in any stake. *Tracking Collars are permitted in these events. *Walking gallery and/or gallery wagon must remain behind the Judges/Marshall. This address is adjacent to and west of the entrance to the Field Trial grounds. Turn at the ECVC sign and Vizsla silhouette. COMING FROM THE EAST, GOING WEST ON INTERSTATE 10: Take I-10 West towards Pensacola to SR 87/Exit 31. Go North (right) on SR-87, and continue for 1.5 miles. Go West (left) on US 90 (Caroline Street) and continue for 5.2 miles. Go North (right) on SR-89 (Dogwood Drive) and continue for 2.1 miles. Go West (left) on CR-191 (Willard Norris Road) and continue for 4.0 miles. Look for ECVC sign on the left, which is adjacent to 5001 Willard Norris Road. Turn left at the sign, and continue 1.0 mile to reach the event site. COMING FROM THE WEST, GOING EAST ON INTERSTATE 10: Take I-10 East toward Tallahassee to SR-281 (Avalon Blvd.) at Exit 22. 4 HUNTING DOG STAKE Non-regular walking class open to all pointing breeds. This stake is designed to focus on dogs that have completed their JH title and are working towards the SH title and/or dogs that need a chance to compete and obtain fieldwork to both improve their hunting abilities and to showcase their existing talents. Each brace is 15 minutes. Dogs may be collared while on point and may run with a check cord or use other training devices with the exception: e- collars are not allowed. Junior Handlers ages MUST have completed a Game and Fish Department Gun Safety Course and show proof of course passing and completion. A liability waiver must be signed by a parent or guardian for a Junior Handler to participate in this event. Please sign and include the attached waiver with your HDS entry form. If the Junior Hunter has NOT taken a Gun Safety Course, he or she may use blank pistols with their dogs on bird work without Gunners or live ammunition. Hunting Dog Stakes Rules and Guidelines can be found on the Emerald Coast Vizsla Club website under Resources at: ELIGIBILITY: Any dog that is eligible to compete in licensed AKC pointing breed Field Trials or Hunt Tests is eligible to run in Hunting Dog Stakes. Placements will be made at the end of each day and ribbons will be awarded for places 1-4. A dog may run, but is not eligible for placements in a stake if it: *has completed a SH or MH title or *has placed 1st in a broke dog stake Other breeds, or Vizslas not owned by ECVC members, are eligible for placement at individual stakes. Dogs entered in the AKC Event MUST finish their run in the AKC event before they are allowed to run in the HDS. * Bitches in season may not compete* JUDGING: Each dog is judged based on a dog s actual performance and its potential as a worthy hunting companion. Advance entry costs are listed on the entry form and must be received before the Hunt Test closing date. Entries may be made at the event for an additional $5.00 to the costs listed on the entry form. Precedence in the running order will be given to advance entries. 5 SPENCER FAMILY PROPERTY RELEASE, WAIVER AND INDEMNIFICATION The undersigned hereby fully releases, waives, acquits and discharges Spencer Family Property, Jim and Nikki Spencer and its owners, members, property owners, employees, agents, successors and assigns from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, damages, costs, loss of service, wrongful death or expenses and compensation whatsoever in any way arising from or related to any hunting activities, clay target shooting activities and other related activity or recreational sports activity in which the undersigned may participate or observe at Spencer Family Property. The undersigned acknowledges that recreational sports, including, but not limited to, hunting, working with dogs, clay target shooting or observing the same, may include the use of firearms and are potentially dangerous activities which could result in serious bodily injury or death. The undersigned understands and acknowledges that while shooting, debris may fall in and around the area where people may be shooting and/or standing. Therefore, eye protection as well as hearing protection is required at all times while observing or shooting activities occur. The undersigned acknowledges that certain vehicles may be used in conjunction with the above activities and may be considered dangerous. The undersigned acknowledges that walking over any of the grounds or areas utilized in Spencer Family Property activities may be dangerous. The undersigned acknowledges that certain wildlife may inhabit the grounds or areas utilized in Spencer Family Property activities and may be dangerous. This RELEASE is given in consideration of being allowed to hunt on the Spencer Family Property and observe or participate in any or all activities at Spencer Family Property such as, but not limited to, fishing, riding, horseback riding, walking, attending parties, events and meetings. If the undersigned is a minor, the undersigned hereby releases Spencer Family Property from any and all liability in the same manner as though the undersigned were an adult. If the undersigned is an adult accompanied by a minor child, he/she agrees to indemnify and hold Spencer Family Property harmless from any claims, costs or causes of action made by someone or anyone on behalf of said minor child against Spencer Family Property. The undersigned states that he/she freely and voluntarily executed this RELEASE and asserts that he/she understands all the terms used herein and the consequences thereof.
