1 Troubleshooting Section 7 Introduction This section provides troubleshooting information for the Gensym G2 interface software. EB Gensym G2 Interface Error s Table 7-1. Sub Error s Table 7-1 lists the semapi function error codes. The errors are detected in the Gensym G2 interface and come from the semapi run-time software. 1 Invalid logical computer interface. This indicates that the application is not connected to the computer interface or the inactivity timer has expired and the application has been disconnected from the computer interface. 2 Invalid index. 3 Invalid number of points. 4 Invalid node type. 5 Invalid number of nodes. 6 Invalid index order. 7 Invalid auto disconnect. 8 Invalid Symphony address. 9 Invalid point type. 10 Invalid number of exceptions. 11 Null data pointer. 12 Invalid computer interface type. 13 Invalid reply size. 14 st_buffer is set to null. 15 Bad reply code from computer interface. 16 General invalid arguments. 17 Too many elements for group. 18 Unable to allocate memory. 19 Too many elements for list. Check the tag status code array to determine thereasonforfailure. 62 An invalid number of tags was specified in the request. 63 An invalid number of exports was specified in the request. 64 An invalid option was specified when defining or undefining export points. 66 Client not manager for requested type. 67 Unknown type of problem report returned for module. 68 Requested General Msg type is not supported. 69 Reply to General Msg was too small; either INICI03 interface was offline or no reply option was selected. Table 7-2 lists the semapi message driver error codes. The error codes are detected in the Gensym G2 interface and come from the semapi run-time software. Table 7-2. MD Error s 1 Null pointer passed to decode by message driver. 2 Message driver communication failed to initialize. 3 Unable to get the requested token. 4 Null decode function received. 5 Error checking in buffer. 6 Illegal retrieve command. 7 No message on the pending list. 8 Error checking message. 9 Error putting message on list. 10 Error parsing information flag. 11 Error getting node off list. 12 Null buffer structure received. 13 No response from the device driver. 14 No message number returned. 15 Encoding header error. 16 Error returning token. 17 Unable to get token for message. Serv Error s 1 Another user owns computer interface as exclusive. 2 Computer interface shared, exclusive not allowed. 3 Unknown connection type requested. 4 User quick connect without preceding connect. 5 Invalid Information flag in transaction. 6 Invalid service message code. This may indicate that the target module does not support the interface command. 10 Error putting message driver header on. 11 Error filling transaction structure. 13 Error communicating to computer interface. 14 Checksum did not match reply. 15 No response bytes received. 16 Exclusive user already exists. 17 Invalid type connection. 18 Token not available. 20 Error sending to computer interface. 21 Service connect no link (maximum clients connected). 31 Error initializing computer interface network connect. 32 Error initializing message driver and network connect. 33 Reading communication file. 34 Initializing device driver. 35 Going to sleep. 36 Checking the active list. 37 Checking the response list. 38 Routing message. 39 No nodes left on list. 40 No transaction structure. 41 Error putting onto free list. 42 Error sending reply. 43 Error doing quick receive. 44 Token not returned. INICI03 interface successful. 1 Command queue to computer interface, waiting for reply. 2 Improper format for command. 3 Illegal command issued. 4 Index already established in computer interface. 5 Block already established as another point. 6 Command is too long. 7 Bad reply from node interface. 8 Export used as import. 9 Second RESTART needed. 10 Undefined index. 11 Memory full. 12 Host communication error. 13 Computer interface internal module not responding. 14 Import used as export. 15 Time-out of Plant Loop response. 16 Number out of range. 17 Illegal key used. 18 Computer interface requires RESTART. 19 Module status point used as import. 20 Message is active on loop. 21 Import or export used as a module status. 22 Exception report specifications. 23 No message queued. 24 Reply too large. 25 Illegal station mode command. 26 Illegal module number in command. 27 Time-out between bytes in command. 28 Index already established. 29 Point type incompatible. Usually occurs when using an unsupported point type. 35 Computer interface is busy. 36 Computer interface has gone offline. 37 Conflict with monitor mode. 38 Point type does not match computer interface point type. 39 Destination loop is offline. 40 Destination node is busy. 41 Destination loop is busy. 42 Enhanced trend point is not established. 43 User defined exception report point was not established. 44 Wall clock time is not valid. Error returned when the INICI03 interlace is restarted with time-stamps enabled and adding the wall clock offset enabled, but the INICI03 interface has not received a time-synch message from either the host computer or the Symphony system. 69 INICI03 interface reply was not properly encoded. 70 Command lost due to communications failure. 100 Undefined message type. 101 Module is busy, cannot reply. 102 Module mode conflicts with command. 103 Illegal message data. 104 Function block is not valid. 105 Function block is not configured. 106 Function block has no readable parameters. 107 Invalid function code specified for module. 108 Function code and block number not compatible. 109 Insufficient memory in module to write block. 110 Module is not responding. 128 Waiting for module reply. 200 Software key does not exist on the termination unit. 201 Retry the interface command. 7-8 WBPEEUI400005A1

INICI03 Interface Error s (continued) 202 Symphony communication module detected an invalid interface command attempting to access the Symphony system. 203 Wait one second and try the interface command again. 204 Symphony communication module has detected a software key, but it is invalid. 301 MFP or file is in use. 302 No buffers available. 303 Buffers are too small. 304 MFP file or buffer is not open. 305 File is write protected. 306 Offset is out of range. 307 File is already open. 308 Invalid operation. 309 Wrong mode specified. 310 File has an error in data. 311 File does not exist. 313 Could not create file.
