5 Prepositions Name: Prepositions show the relationship between a noun or pronoun and another word in the sentence. The noun or pronoun follows the preposition. For example, Sarah wanted to ride her bike through the tunnel. Through is the preposition, and its object is tunnel. The preposition tells us the relationship between Sarah and the tunnel. If needed, use your page of 50 Common Prepositions for ideas for this page. Complete each sentence by adding a preposition. See how many different prepositions you can use. 7 Prepositions Change Sentence Meaning Name: Prepositions show the relationship between a noun or pronoun and another word in the sentence. The noun or pronoun follows the preposition. For example, Sarah wanted to ride her bike through the tunnel. Through is the preposition, and its object is tunnel. The preposition tells us the relationship between Sarah and the tunnel.
