3 3 PASSION FOR EFFICIENCY Even after the acquisition of former Christian Majer GmbH & CO KG by Manz Automation AG in 2008, you can rely on 90 years of experience in the field of machinery and equipment for the manufacture of cardboard and foil packaging materials. Manz Automation AG, based at Reutlingen/Germany, is a globally leading high-tech mechanical engineering company. 5 5 Cylindrical textile tubes and bobbins Unwinding, sprial-windig Machines for the production of cylindrical textile tubes and bobbins We offer machines and complete production lines for: Open-end spinning tubes (OES), texturizing tubes (DTY), high-speed spinning tubes (POY, FDY, ) used as yarn carriers for high-speed spinning machines Besides the complete production lines we can as well supply the individual machines to update your existing production: Unwinding, cascade glueing, winding, cutting to length, dividing, finishing (beaded, polished, notched, punched, grooved, slitted) Packaging in cardboard boxes We would be pleased to inform you on our additonal production lines for spiral-wound paper tubes and cores: available for various applications in different diameters and wall thicknesses, to be used as core tubes, mailing tubes, tape cores etc.

6 6 Winding Composite cans, boxes and lids Machines and complete production lines to manufacture spiralwound composite cans, drawn and wound cardboard boxes as well as cardboard lids Machines and equipments for the production of packing means made of paper and cardboard starting from the very beginning with simple, bottle-shaped containers for liquids like milk and motor oil, nowadays the most attractive and ambitious packages, like e.g. Pringles. All these machines and equipments stand for a program contributing several decades of experience and know-how in building machines for packing means made of paper and cardboard. The steadily grown know-how on materials and technologies to shape those materials to leak-free containers is still applied when designing machines for today s consumer products: Spiral-wound round cans, with spiral- or parallel-label, for various applications and filling goods, like e.g. Instant products, snack-food (chips), spices, tobacco, etc. As food packaging additionally equipped with a barrier layer to fulfil the extremely high demands in leak tightness Our program comprises complete production lines starting from the paper unreeling unit, via spiral winding (including anaconda-, folding, sealing and gluing units), cutting and labelling up to finishing the can top and base side for the various can closing systems.
