3 2003 current Senior Inspector, Adventure Activities Licensing Authority MOUNTAINEERING SUMMARY I have been mountaineering and rock climbing for 30 years, and with a career in the outdoors, much of this has been in a professional capacity. This professional work has included much in the UK as well as work in Iceland, Caucasus Mountains, European Alps, Pyrenees, Slovakia, Antarctica, Nepal and New Zealand. In 2007 I will voluntarily lead a trek to Mera Peak, the highest trekking peak in Nepal with a group of Girl Guide Leaders. I continue to be active in rock climbing, mountaineering (summer and winter), ski touring and orienteering. Rock climbing From the late 1970 s I was leading VS/HVS and continue to do so today. I have rock climbed outdoors in many areas of the UK, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Winter climbing In the UK at Grade III/IV since Alpine Mountaineering Several alpine seasons between 1980 and 2001, including in the Pyrenees. Early routes included the Frendo Spur, North Face of the Col du Plan, and the Chardonnet. Other routes have included the Dent du Geant, several of the 4000m peaks including the Matterhorn by the Hornli Ridge trip included ascents of the Cassin Route on the Piz Badile, a traverse of the Piz Bernina via the Biancograt and a traverse of the Auguille Noire de Peuteray. Ski touring Since 1980, with annual personal trips to Norway, France (including the Haute Route), Pyrenees, and some in the UK. Farther afield Personal trips to Mount Kenya (1990), Kyrghystan (1995), Vancouver Island BC (2003), unaccompanied trekking in Nepal (Everest base camp and Annapurna circuit ) OTHER RELEVANT PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES INCLUDING CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
