2 What do you get for your money? Our courses are priced to cover the cost of running them - not to make lots of money! However, any income we do generate goes back into The Scout Association helping us to continue to change lives. The price of each course includes: All instruction, from appropriately qualified trainers and assessors. Any administration fees chargeable by external bodies for the course (with the exception of personal registration fees for things like the Mountain Leader award), Accommodation for the duration of the course (this will tend to be shared and in bunk rooms) Access to self-catering facilities. Any technical equipment required for the course unless otherwise stated. You will need to provide your own personal kit including waterproofs. Welcome to this adult training guide Great Tower offers a comprehensive range of adult training courses throughout the year designed for Leaders and other volunteers to gain the skills and experience needed to run adventurous activities with young people. There are two ways of accessing courses at Great Tower: Open Courses These courses are scheduled in our calendar and you can book individual places. Most courses have a maximum number of spaces available so try to book early. We can also run these as closed courses if you have a group of people who are interested. Closed Courses Some of our courses are quite specialist so won t be in the calendar if you re interested in any course which you can t see on the schedule then get in touch and let us know so we can sort out some dates. /ScoutActivityCentres 1
