Gunnar Frenger developed radiant heating systems in the 1940s FRENGER SYSTEMEN BV was founded 1953 in the Netherlands and bought some of FRENGER s patents FRENGER Systemen BV is independend and has no relationship to any other Companies called FRENGER Hans-Werner Menge bought FRENGER Systemen BV in the 1980s Company sells heated and chilled ceilings all over Europe Company s head office is located close to Frankfurt FRENGER SYSTEMEN BV has installed more than m² of heated and chilled ceilings since

7 Basics working principle Best known radiant heating system is the sun Infrared heat of the sun can be sent for 1,000s of miles without loss of energy Radiant effect can be easily felt when leaving shade and then moving into the sun The air temperature will be the same but everybody feels the radiant effect Human beings do not feel the air temperature, they feel the average of the radiant effect/temperature and the air temperature Every object emits infrared heat, the hotter the object the more heat is being emitted Radiant effect heats up walls, floor and objects in the room high comfort 11/25/2008 7
