4 CE Marking The following standards were applied during the assessment of the product against the requirements of the Directives 1999//EC and 93/4/EEC: Radio: EN and EN EMC: EN and EN Safety: EN 6090 and EN 03 CE Marking For the Cisco Aironet AIR-(L)AP1131AG-E-K9 and the AIR-(L)AP14AG-E-K9, the following CE mark and Class- identifier are affixed to the equipment and its packaging. Intended Use of the Equipment The equipment is wireless LAN equipment that operates in the 400- to 43.-MHz band, and in the 10- to 30-MHz and 470- to 7-MHz bands. This equipment is for indoor use only! The maximum power level (EIRP) when operating in the.4 GHz band is 100 mw or 0 dbm. The maximum power level (EIRP) when operating in the MHz GHz band is 00 mw or 3 dbm. The maximum power level (EIRP) when operating in the MHz GHz band is 1000 mw or 30 dbm The regulatory limits for maximum output power are specified in EIRP. The EIRP level of a device can be calculated by adding the gain of the antenna used (specified in dbi) to the output power available at the connector (specified in dbm). Antennas AIR-(L)AP1131AG-E-K9 The dual band Wireless LAN product AIR-(L)AP1131AG-E-K9 has integrated antennas which cannot be removed or which are not user accessible. 4
5 Antennas AIR-(L)AP14AG-E-K9 The dual-band Wireless LAN product AIR-(L)AP14AG-E-K9 is equipped with with reversed polarity TNC antenna connectors for the use of dedicated antennas available from Cisco. Table 1 lists the.4-ghz antennas that can be used with this equipment, and Table lists the -GHz antennas that can be used. All antennas were assessed together with the equipment against the requirements of the R&TTE directive. It is the responsibility of the end user to select a power level that, together with the antenna, results in an EIRP (radiated power) level that is below the applicable limit. See the Intended Use of the Equipment section on page 4 to identify the regulatory limits for each frequency band..
