Eventually, with the aid of his mate, Gray Wolf, he befriends some humans and accompanies them on their travels through the frozen wild. Nomads of the North. New York: Grosset and Dunlap, This book is about a couple men surviving in the Yukon with Neewa, a fierce black bear. Swift Lightning. New York: McKinlay, Stone and MacKenzie, Swift Lightning is about a fur trader guiding a writer and animals through the Yukon. New York: Grosset and Dunlap, This is a love story and murder mystery set in the Canadian wild. Canadian Mounted Police Sergeant James Kent falsely confesses to murder in order to save an innocent man and find the real killer.
