They are easy to se, taking the complexity away from the ser and ptting it where it belongs, inside the eqipment. Providing a crisp call or clear msic is as easy as trning on the radio. The amplifier is also srprisingly affordable, withot sacrificing featres sch as dcking, priority and flexibility. Fnctions Microphone and line inpts All Mic/line inpts can be switched between microphone level and line level sensitivity. The inpts are balanced bt can be sed nbalanced. Phantom power can be switched on to provide power to condenser microphones. Inpt channels 1 and 2 can take priority over all other microphone and msic inpts: Inpt 1 can be activated by contact closre on the PTT (psh to talk). A 2-tone chime can be configred to precede an annoncement. Inpt 2 can be switched atomatically if a signal is fed to the inpt i.e. if someone speaks into the microphone (VOX activation). When one or both inpts are configred to have priority, the amont of attenation (redction) of the cinch inpts, can be set between 2 db (little attenation) or - db (mte). This provides a talk-over or voice-over fnction. Inpt channels 1 and 2 also featre selectable speech filters to enhance the clarity of annoncements. Msic inpts Separate msic inpts are available with their own inpt selector and volme control. The ser can choose a msic sorce like a CD player or radio (like the PLN-DVDT), and set the level of msic. Yo can set the desired sond for the msic sorce separate from the mic/line inpts. So if the msic needs boosted low freqencies, this does not lead to mddy sonding voices from the microphones. A trly niqe featre in its class. Personalized settings More niqe featres are available sch as detachable labels where the ser can write the names for inpts, msic sorces and zones. These labels can then be monted on the front, protected by the clear window. Another sefl featre is to indicate preferred settings on the front panel by inserting colored pins at the preset levels of all knobs. Yo can then instrct a ser to set all the controls to the silver pins to configre the system for their particlar se. A second ser can set all controls to the red pins for their configration.

2 2 PLE 2MAxx0 EU Plena Mixer Amplifier Tone controls The niqe tone controls provide separate control for mic/line inpts and msic inpts so that the voice on the microphones can be specifically optimized for excellent speech or singing. Correspondingly, the tone controls for backgrond msic provide the most appropriate msic reprodction. In addition, the tone controls are not standard bass and treble controls. Or experience has led s to develop a tone control that can be sed as a traditional tone control with high and low control, bt has a powerfl contor that addresses the problems fond in real sitations. The tone control for the microphone and line inpts boosts warmth in voices withot boosting rmble and cts rmble withot loosing warmth in the low freqencies. In the high freqencies, the tone control boosts sparkle withot adding sharpness, bt when ctting is first, cts harshness and sharpness withot redcing clarity. The tone control for the msic inpts boosts deep bass first withot making the sond boomy, and cts rmble withot loosing warmth in the low freqencies. In the high freqencies the tone control is similar to the microphone inpts, with slightly different freqencies to sit msic reprodction. For easy integration with another PA system or a telephone paging system, a telephone / 100 V emergency inpt with VOX activation is provided. It has its own preset volme control and overrides all other inpts, inclding call station and inpts 1 and 2. The nit also has a line otpt to add amplifiers for larger systems, with more otpt power, this otpt can be switched to msic only so that for instance msic on hold can be provided for the telephone system. Insert (loop throgh) inpt and otpt connections enable external sond processing eqipment, sch as an eqalizer or the Plena feedback sppressor, to be connected between the preamplifier and the power amplifier stages. Power These Plena mixer amplifiers come in 120 and 240 Watts otpt power. This power is directly available on 100 V constant voltage connections and on a low impedance connection for an 8 ohm load. Moreover, the amplifiers have a separate 100 V callonly otpt channel for addressing areas where only priority annoncements are reqired. The call-only otpt can also be sed for 3-wire remote, volme control override. Zones The mixer amplifier has two zone otpts. The msic can be switched on and off in the zones via the front panel and optional wall panel. Annoncements from the PLE-2CS two-zone call station can be roted to zone 1 or zone 2, or both. Annoncements from the tel/100 V inpt or inpts 1 & 2 are roted to both zones. Inpt 1 can be sed for a PLE-1CS all-call call station or any other microphone or call station with a PTT contact. Otpt stats An LED VU meter monitors the master otpt. A headphone socket, below the VU meter, provides the mixer otpt before zone selection so that it is possible to listen to the otpt before the signal is sent to the zone. For total reliability and ease of se, a limiter is integrated into the otpt stage to restrict otpt if the ser applies too mch signal.
