GOAL ONE: TRAIND EXPANSION/NEW BUILDING ACTION YEAR ONE: BREAK GROUND LEAVE CAMPUS SPRING 2014 OUTCOME: WSC WILL HAVE THE FACILITIES ON CAMPUS TO HOST TETON HOCKEY AND FAST PITCH. THESE FACILITIES WOULD BE AVAILABLE TO THE COMMUNITY WHEN TIME PERMITS. GOAL ONE: HOCKEY & FAST PITCH VENUES ACTION YEAR ONE: FUNDRAISING PLAN AND IMPLEMENTATION FOR SOFTBALL SOFTBALL ON CAMPUS, HOCKEY FUNDRAISING PLAN OUTCOME: INCREASED ENROLLMENT IN THE AG PROGRAM AND GENERAL ENROLLMENT AS WELL AS INCREASED EXPOSURE FOR WSC THROUGHOUT THE REGION (WOULD BE THE ONLY FEDERALLY INSPECTED FACILITY IN THE REGION). GOAL ONE: AG PROGRAM INCORPORATES MEAT SCIENCES & FOOD SAFETY ACTION YEAR ONE: FEASIBILITY OPTIONS Action Year Two: pending feasibility options Outcome: WSC will deliver excellent quality to and from all delivery sites Page 2
5 AQIP 3: Understanding Students and Other Stakeholders Needs OUTCOME: WSC WILL OFFER ENHANCED AND QUALITY SERVICES TO SUPPORT STUDENT LEARNING WHILE BUILDING POSITIVE RELATIONSHIPS WITH STAKEHOLDERS. GOAL ONE: PROVIDE COMPLETE AND QUALITY STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES (IDENTIFY A NEED THROUGH A SURVEY). ACTION YEAR ONE: DEVELOP AND ADMINISTER SURVEY TO FRESHMEN STUDENTS. ANALYZE AND PRIORITIZE SURVEY RESULTS. USE THE RESULTING DATA TO CREATE A PLAN AND BUDGET PROPOSALS TO BRING TO THE APPROPRIATE GROUPS. GOAL TWO: PROVIDE QUALITY DEGREE AND CAREER ADVISEMENT (COMPLETE SEPS, CONTINUE ADVISOR TRAINING/ONBOARDING, AND TRANSFER ORIENTATION). ACTION YEAR ONE: IMPLEMENT ADVISOR TRAINING ONCE PER SEMESTER UTILIZING THE ADVISOR MANUAL. THIS TRAINING IS RECOMMENDED TO BE MID-SEMESTER ANALYZE ADVISOR TRAINING GIVEN, AND DEVELOP CHANGES AS NEEDED. OBTAIN FUNDS FOR SUMMER ADVISING. GOAL THREE: CREATE AND SUSTAIN AN ACTIVE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (IDENTIFY PLAN ON HOW TO SET UP/MANAGE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, GATHER CONTACT INFORMATION FOR NEW AND RECENTLY PAST GRADUATES TO BUILD ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, AND HAVE AN ALUMNI SPEAKER AT COMMENCEMENT.) ACTION YEAR ONE: HOST A BARBEQUE FOR ALUMNI AND GRADUATING STUDENTS CENTERED AROUND GRADUATION. ESTABLISH AN ALUMNI DATABASE. GOAL FOUR: EXPLORE THE NEED FOR NEW PROGRAMS (REVIEW LINDA THARP S SURVEYS AND THE COMMUNITY SURVEY- CHAMBER). ACTION YEAR ONE: REVIEW AND ANALYZE PROSPECTIVE AND CURRENT PROGRAMS. ACTION YEAR ONE: COMPLETE FRONT DRIVE PROJECT (WILL BE COMPLETED BY NOVEMBER 15, 2013); IMPROVE ON-CAMPUS PARKING (LOOKING FOR MONEY TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITH EMPHASIS GIVEN TO THE WESTERN STAR CAREER AND TECHNICAL CENTER); BEGIN STEVENS HALL RENOVATION (CURRENTLY WORKING ON PLAN TO VACATE THE BUILDING IN PREPARATION FOR CONSTRUCTION); RESEARCH VIABILITY OF ADDITIONAL STUDENT HOUSING (LOOKING AT POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO INCREASE CAMPUS HOUSING IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FOUNDATION); DEVELOP FEE MODEL TO PROVIDE STUDENTS ACCESS TO THE WELLNESS CENTER ($5/CREDIT FEE REQUESTED BY PARKS & REC, WILL BRING PROPOSAL TO STUDENT SENATE BY END OF THE FALL 2013 SEMESTER). COMPLETE STEVENS HALL RENOVATION AND MOVE FORWARD ON STUDENT HOUSING CONTINGENT ON RESULTS OF FY14 RESEARCH. GOAL TWO: INCREASE SUPPORT SERVICES ACTION YEAR ONE: DEVELOP PLAN OF HOW ADDITIONAL STAFFING WOULD IMPROVE SUPPORT SERVICES, CONTINGENT ON PLAN APPROVAL; HIRE 1 NEW FTE IN SECURITY, CUSTODIAL, AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (STAFFING INCREASES HAVE OCCURRED IN EACH OF THESE AREAS OVER THE LAST 8-12 MONTHS, POSITIONING THE COLLEGE TO PROVIDE IMPROVED CUSTOMER AND SUPPORT SERVICES). EVALUATE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SUPPORT SERVICES MODEL AND REVISE PLAN AS NECESSARY AND IMPLEMENT REVISIONS. Page 6

GOAL ONE: IDENTIFY INSTITUTIONAL ASSESSMENTS FOR STUDENT LEARNING AND SUPPORT. ACTION YEAR ONE: EACH AQIP GROUP WILL PROVIDE DATA POINT INFORMATION ON A QUARTERLY BASIS. AQIP WILL REVIEW DATA, MANAGEABILITY OF QUARTERLY COLLECTION AND MEANINGFULNESS TO INSTITUTION. SCORECARD INVESTIGATION VERSUS STAFF DATA TRAINING WILL BE INVESTIGATED AND DECIDED. Page 7

GOAL ONE: COMPLETE A SURVEY ASKING FULL-TIME WSC EMPLOYEES WHAT CURRENT COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS/ACTIVITIES THEY ARE INVOLVED IN. ACTION YEAR ONE: GOAL TWO: HAVING 50% OF WSC FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES INVOLVED IN THE WILLISTON COMMUNITY. WSC WOULD PAY UP TO $150 FOR MEMBERSHIPS FOR A FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE.
