Grade Reports Graduates will demonstrate competency in the use of contemporary information technology in business decision making. 80% of AFE graduates will score the national average on the quantitative section of the MFAT exam. 80% of AFE graduates will earn a grade of C or higher in the accounting and finance capstone courses. MFAT Grade Reports Graduates will recognize differences in cultures and managerial approaches related to the global nature of business; compare and contrast approaches to addressing the domestic and international environments in which business organizations operate. 80% of AFE graduates will earn a grade of C or higher in the required course BA 450, International Business Seminar. 80% of AFE graduates will score at or higher than the national average on the international section of the MFAT exam. 8 Statement of Achievements Department Accounting, Finance, and Economics Academic Year Plans Implemented Plans Not Implemented (1) (2) (3) Dual degree programs in finance and accounting were developed and approved with Guandong University of Finance. (1) Executive speaker series program was not started. Finance and economics emphasis was developed and approved as new degree program. (2) Internships were minimally increased. VITA grant was obtained to enhance annual assistance offered to community with income tax return preparation. (3) Alumni database project is in progress. (4) Campus teaching excellence and research grants were obtained by faculty to enhance courses and programs with job shadowing and finance skills provided as opportunities for students. (4) Further review and development of accounting online program is in progress. (5) Full-time accounting faculty member was hired to replace departure. (5) (6) (7) (8) (9) (10) Adjunct accounting faculty member was hired to teach online courses. (6) Technology was upgraded in VITA computer lab and CPA Review course. (7) The Accounting Club was active with guest speakers, field trips, and fundraisers. Delta Mu Delta inducted more members. Hire adjunct faculty for Demopolis Education Center as needed in accounting, economics, and business law. Review feasibility of accounting online degree program. Hire adjunct faculty as needed. Continue curriculum development, student organization activities, internship recruitment, and technology applications. Install equipment and technology for 1st lab in Room 204. Install equipment and technology for 2 nd lab in Room 203. Recruit adjunct applications and complete hiring process. Offer more online accounting courses and monitor enrollment as overall program developed.
