4 Facility side panel There are ventilation holes on the facility panels, which are meant for dissipation of heat. Do not cover ventilation holes with foreign objects. It may result in device units overheating and malfunction. Media hub connection Set-top box connection example with the use of HDMI and Ethernet cables. Installation Before installing and switching on the device, there is a need to examine the device for the presence of visible mechanical damages. In case of damages, you should stop the installation of the device, draw up the corresponding act and turn to your supplier. If the device was kept at a low temperature for a long period of time, then it should be kept for two hours at room temperature before starting using it. Installation is carried out on a flat surface away from heating devices. Connection to TV-set Set-top box can be connected both by means of using HDMI digital connector and analog AV connector. We recommend that you use the digital way of connection to ensure the maximum quality of sound and picture. Connection to ArmenTel CJSC network: LAN By means of LAN-cable connect the media hub and your ADSL-router (Note LAN-cable is not included in the set. You can always order a cable of a necessary length in the sales office, purchase it from the service man or buy it at any computer hardware shop). Further, when turning on, the media hub

5 will automatically receive the network parameters. If necessary, these parameters can be changed in the settings of the media hub. Connection to ArmenTel CJSC network: Wi-Fi Media hub supports connection to Wi-Fi networks. To do this, you need to use USB Wi-Fi adapter. It can be purchased in sales offices. Connect Wi-Fi adapter to USB connector on the front or back panel of the set-top box. Next, after switching on the set-top box you will need to make the following steps: Enter the Settings menu, select Network. Then select Network Type-Wireless. Select SSID (name) of the network to which you want to connect, and if necessary, enter the password using the remote controller. When switching on the set-top box for the first time, the search of software updates will take a few seconds. IPTV program After the initial setup of the set-top box, when switching it on you will immediately find yourself in the channel list display mode. Arrows/MENU/OK buttons on the remote controller lead to the appearance of the channel list.

6 In the upper right corner the channel number and name are shown. When the menu is open, Left/Right arrows switch channel preview and highlight the currently selected channel with a frame, to open it, click OK. Also, you can select a channel by pressing its number on the remote controller. When pressing the info (i) button, the program schedule will be displayed, and by means of Left/Right arrows you can select the program schedule for other channels. The menu automatically disappears after displaying for 10 seconds. You can get to the section of Settings both by pressing Menu on the remote controller, and selecting the corresponding section in the lower right corner of the screen by means of the arrow buttons on the remote controller. This menu allows you to change the language of the application. Changing the language affects only the menu; the program schedule and the name of the channels do not change. Remote controller The whole program management is carried out by means of the remote controller. Frequently asked questions Set-top box control interface does not fit on the TV-screen way: Use PiP button on the remote controller or change the settings of the set-top box in the following Open menu Settings, section Video/Audio, field Video Mode:

7 a) If the set-top box is connected to the TV- set via HDMI cable you should choose HD in the field Video Mode. If the set-top box is connected to the TV- set via 3RCA you should choose SD in the field Video Mode. b) If the control interface does not fit on the TV-screen after execution of the clause «a» you should use the function «Adjustment to the TV-screen»: you should choose «Adjustment to the TV-screen» via navigation buttons, press «ОК» button. «VOL+» - button to increase the size of the screen «VOL-» - button to decrease the size of the screen RED functional button is used to install the original size of the screen. To exit the mode you should press «RETURN» button. You should pass to the main menu to apply the settings. How to set up the wireless connection? a. Connect WiFi adapter to USB port of the set-top box. b. Open Settings, section Network. In the field Type choose Wireless. c. Press «Search of WiFi networks» button. d. Choose the necessary access point from the list. If necessary enter the password to connect to the Wi-Fi.

8 What to do, if the picture often disappears or the screen is blank while launching a film? If after switching on the set-top box or after updating you do not see the picture on the screen, then it is possible that your TV-set does not support some modes of HDMI port. So as to choose the mode of HDMI port with the max resolution supported by your TV-set, you should carry out the following settings: Press «F» button on the remote controller and hold for a few minutes until «Power» (sign ) indicator on the front panel of the set-top box flashes yellow. Meanwhile readjustment of the set-top box video output will be carried out the minimum resolution supported by your TV-set will be chosen and desktop settings will appear on the screen. Tick out the minimum resolution (the last one). If the picture has disappeared, wait for 15 seconds, the resolution will again become minimum and the picture will be restored. Next time you should choose another position from the list (the item above). If the video output has been correctly adjusted, you will see the text «Do you see this message?», press «to the left» button on the remote controller to move to the position «Yes» and then press «OK». To exit and save the settings you should once more press «OK» on the remote controller, to cancel press «RETURN». The TV-screen is blank when I turn on the set-top box. You should check if the cable is safely connected to the TV-set and mediahub. You should check if the interface is correctly chosen in the TV-set menu. You should check if the picture is displayed when operated at another video output.

9 The set-top box does not turn on. You should make sure that the power adapter is connected to the power supply device 220 V. Is it possible to connect the set-top box to two TV-sets? No, it is not. The simultaneous work of the device in HDMI and A/V interfaces is barred. When the device is connected in two video outputs the priority will be given to HDMI interface. Does the set-top box support my Wi-Fi adapter? So as to define the compatibility of the media hub with Wi-Fi adapter you should know its VID (Vendor ID) and PID (Product ID). You can see the information in the following ways: With the availability of adapter and PC with OS Windows. connect the adapter to the PC with OS Windows. enter the menu Start >Control Panel >System > the tab «equipment» >Device Manager choose your adapter from the list and press «properties» by the right button of the mouse open the tab «Data» in the appeared window you will see the text USB\VID_0CF3&PID_9271\12345, where 0CF3 VID; 9271 PID. If it is impossible to view this information on the PC, you can view it via VID/PID by the model of the adapter on the following sites: You should search the information by complete marking of the adapter up to the auditing. If you haven t found the model of the adapter on the above mentioned sites, more probably your adapter is not supported. You should use the first method for more exact information.
