3 The product Art on demand Print on demand - i.e. the print-out of pictures at exactly the time when your customer needs them offers you new possibilities. Industry experts are certain that the following will also apply to art in the future: For economic reasons art in the form of printings will be produced only when needed. Thus you can avoid cost-intensive stock-keeping as well as costly and time-consuming ordering activities. Furthermore you can react immediately to your customer s demands.

4 The product The material The pictures are printed in the best gridless quality on a medium of your choice, in line with market conditions and the latest trends, especially on high-quality canvas. The costs are minimal and can t be undercut as you will purchase the necessary ink, papers and canvas on the open market. Alternatively we can offer them directly at Canon wholesale prices. Thus you will be able to produce at exactly the same costs as your suppliers.

5 The product Am POS Art on demand powered by Canon forms the basis of this innovation in the art trade. A Canon large format printer is accessed by a terminal directly used by your customers including an integrated picture data base, printing out the motives on a medium of your choice. Furthermore, a catalogue shows the available images. A new market is created by new inexpensive high-resolution digital cameras. With this system customers s files can be printed out as large format photos.

6 The product Am POS 1. At the terminal (alternatively in a catalogue) you can look at and select available images, supported by categorization and the search function. 2. You can browse and select your preferred images for the category your art collection. Via a help function you can find out about the innovative possibilities of the system (e.g. background adjustment). 3.You will get your print-out by asking a member of staff to start the printing process. You are welcome to watch the process and then take the printing with you immediately.

7 The product The hardware On principle the latest Canon technology is used: The large-format printer Canon W8400 (maximal printing width: 110 cm appr.) works faster and more efficient than any other comparable system in outstanding quality.

8 The product Quality In contrast to conventional offset printing, which has so far been used in traditional art print, this printing process doesn t have dots anymore. As a result, you will have a particularly appealing colour accuracy as well as a far more detailed colour reproduction than by using traditional printing methods. Thus the system exceeds the methods of the original graphic, traditional lithography and serigraphy regarding resolution and clour intensity.

9 The product Quality The used colours and materials guarantee a maximum of quality considering conditions by well-known museums and won t fade for 100 years taking into account requirements for preservation. test conditions: Canon test on non-fading: light source: fluorescent lamp light, intensity: lux, temperature 24 C, humidity: 60 %; glass type: 2 mm soda lime; criteria for fading: pure YMC 30 % loss at optical density (OD) = 1 calculation durability of the printing: total intensity of lighting/ 50 lux x 10 hours x 365 days = 1 year Data is calculated on the basis of the accelerated test by Canon and do not represent any warranty period. The test was developed and carried out by Canon for interior photo exhibitions.
