15 DB SCHENKERprivpak Deliveries to private individuals DB SCHENKERprivpak offers three different delivery alternatives to private individuals and small companies via an Service Point, to the person's home or to the person's place of work. With DB SCHENKERprivpak the consignee can choose where the delivery is to be made. General terms and conditions applicable to deliveries to private individuals. Input, registration and booking: A transport agreement with agreement prerequisites must be signed. Schenker must receive an EDI file from the consignor containing all the necessary details. If EDI is not received by Schenker in conjunction with registration at the terminal, further processing is discontinued until correct EDI is received. Use a TA system approved by us. This ensures that the EDI and transport document requirements are satisfied. TA system providers: There are functional differences between the TA systems recommended by Schenker. For specific information about each TA system, contact the TA provider or Schenker's local EDI representatives. See under certified TA providers. Parcel Service Points are mainly located where people live or work. Parcels are collected by the consignee at one of the approximately 1,0 Schenker Privpak parcel Service Points. The service offers flexibility regarding when and where the parcel can be collected. It could be from the parcel Service Point near your place of work or perhaps the one near your house in the country you decide. The service is ideal for e-business/mail-order customers where simplicity in handing returns and COD is an obvious element. There could be local deviations. For sparsely populated locations the distance is greater to the nearest parcel Service Point. A list of parcel Service Point can be found at Notification: Notification takes place by text message, , letter or telephone. The choice of notification method could differ from one service to another. For further information see the respective service on the following pages. Collection: Parcels are collected according to a fixed collection arrangement or by booking at the nearest Schenker office. For bookings made after parcels are collected the following delivery day. Where less than five consignments are collected on the same occasion a collection charge is payable (unless other Schenker goods are to be collected at the same time).** Timetable: The timetable includes the locations and postcode areas we serve as well as current transport times in Sweden. Distribution: Distribution takes place through the DB SCHENKERprivpak network, comprising some 1,0 parcel Service Points. Parcel Service Points are mainly small stores and filling stations. When you register, your TA system suggests the nearest Service Point although you are free to choose from all Service Points in the country. Our network of Service Points can be seen on our website Return flow: By using a prepaid return label the consignee can return a parcel to the consignor by handing the parcel in at a parcel Service Point of their choice or by purchasing a return label at the Service Point. The cost is shown in the agreed price list. The return flow leaves the parcel Service Point each day stated in the timetable although with extra lead time for handling returned parcels. Supplementary conditions: All goods must be packed so that they can withstand normal machine sorting. Fragile goods, liquids and paint should be packed in packaging approved by Förpackningskonsult* and marked with a special "Fragile goods" label. Vessels containing liquids must also be embedded in an appropriate absorbent material. The following goods may not be transported as DB SCHENKERprivpak: Dangerous goods (not even in limited amounts), weapons and ammunition, valuables, alcohol, tobacco products, live plants, live or dead animals, heated transport, refrigerated and frozen goods. Exceptions, see section 1. in the Terms and Conditions of Transport brochure. Security: Before a parcel is handed over the consignee must confirm his/her identity. In the case of notification by text message the consignee quotes the PIN code stated in the notification. A parcel can be handed over to a person other than the consignee stated in the address if the person collecting can produce the consignee's identification or their own identification. ** Does not apply to the Service Point Economy service. 1
16 DB SCHENKERprivpak Service Point Standard With the Service Point Standard service we send goods to private individuals and small companies in Sweden. The consignee decides when and where delivery will take place. We have around 1,0 parcel Service Points to choose from. Weight: The maximum weight is 20 kg per parcel.
