Kindly keep in mind the following points while doing your holiday homework. Read all the instructions carefully. Be creative, innovative and imaginative. Do all the work in A-4 sheets as per the colour code given below: English - pink Mathematics - yellow Hindi - blue EVS/ Science - green Social Science - white Computer- in the worksheet itself Staple them separately subject wise and write your name on the first page of each subject. Arrange them in a self designed folder. Bring the holiday home work with you when you come on July,4,2016. ENGLISH 1. Creative Writing A world without paper. Hints: Write about the importance of paper in our life. Why paper should be used economically? What are the different alternatives to paper? What will happen if there are is paper in the world? 2.Let Us Read Read any one short story of Ruskin Bond, write any fifteen new words from it with their word meaning and make sentences using these words. Illustrate and describe any two of your favourite characters from the story which you have read. Write a description of their physical appearance and qualities possessed by the character. Underline all the describing word. Make a sketch of these characters.

With landfill sites filling up and forests becoming bare of trees, the more we can do to prevent further damage to our planet the better. Learn to make a paper - mache mask by following the steps below. Steps 1. Take a balloon, it will act like a base. 2. Blow it up and tie a knot. 3. Tear newspaper. 4.Make your glue or papier mache paste by mixing approximately 2 parts white glue with 1 part water. 5. Paste the glue onto the paper and layer it on the balloon. 6. Do this until there are three layers. 7. Leave it to dry. 8. Pop the balloon with needle and take it out, leaving the shell. 9. Cut the shell into half with the help of your parents. 10. Paint it,as per the character of your choice. Mark the space for eyes and nostrils and cut them with the help of your parents. Bring it to the school.
