2 at last... live Although 's prolific output of stereo studio recordings is well represented in the current catalogues - over 200 items are listed by ArkivMusic at the time of writing (May 2013) - there are relatively few mono offerings. Many of these early 78s and LPs, especially the famous Mercury Living Presence series, are remembered with great affection by music lovers who were converted to great classical music by their vivacity, integrity and honesty. It is the intention of the ADCS to offer these works in this new series, many appearing on CD for the first time. In addition, under the title Antal Doráti live', we are also issuing a series of concert performances including works Doráti did not record in the studio, such as Schubert's Great C major, Mahler s Second and Vaughan William's Fourth Symphony. 2 First Series

11 continuing... live The Second Series of The Dorati Edition continues with further items that have not been released before on CD and in addition offers improved remastering and different couplings of items from the first series, providing more choice to all Doráti enthusiasts. With the release of Universal Mercury s third - and last - major boxed set (2015), it now seems unlikely that there will be official releases of such classics as the Minneapolis Sleeping Beauty and Nutcracker Ballets, Berlioz Symphonie fantastique, Joh.Strauss Waltzes, R. Strauss Ein Heldenleben, Doráti s own Symphony, LSO stereo rarities such as Schumann Fourth Symphony, Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with Szeryng, etc. We are happy to offer all the above, as individual CDs, in our ongoing release programme 11 Second Series
