8 Sandstone Part of the character of Sandstone paving is that no two stones are coloured the same; however, when combined they create a rich tapestry of colour to make an overall hue as presented here. Seasonal changes also bring differing perspectives to the reflected colours. In strong summer sunlight a sandstone patio will appear to have less colour variation, whilst after rain the colours will be of deep patina. 9 Buff Cotswold Mix Being a natural product there will inevitably be natural variants in the colour of our paving from batch to batch. The colours depicted in this brochure are a representative sample only and before committing to purchase any natural stone product it is always recommended that you visit your stockist to check the colour and texture of your chosen paving. Because these are natural materials, there will also be minor dimensional variations which can normally be adjusted for in the laying pattern. It is always recommended that the layout is checked by dry laying natural stone paving prior to mortar jointing. Fossil Rippon Natural stone paving should always be laid on a full bed of mortar and have joints of between 8-15mm wide also mortar pointed. Each of the colour swatches reproduced in this brochure demonstrate the overall hue of a paved area. The natural colour variation of individual paving flags will vary significantly when viewed individually. 10 Sandstone CIRCLES A Sandstone Circle creates a focal point and serves often to distinguish the main area for entertaining friends and family. It can also be very effective as a stand alone sun patio. Just find a quiet secluded area of your garden and create your own private retreat. 12 Slate CIRCLES Hand crafted by stonemasons, these intriguing art deco slate and traditional circle designs create a wonderful focal point, either as stand alone features or incorporated into a slate patio. Limestone Limestone is an attractive and very durable paving which has a softer surface than sandstone and features a variable, soft-riven, textured finish. Pavestone offers three colours, all of which will complement classic and contemporary gardens. The dark tones of Black Kadapha will mellow over time as the product weathers to a stylish graphite grey*, whilst the warm, subtle, golden shades of Abbey gives this versatile paving a classic appearance that adds a timeless charm to any garden. 16 To clean the patio, simply mop over with soapy water or a proprietary floor cleaner as you would do your kitchen floor to leave it spotless and hygienically clean for the next family activity. When laid, spaces are formed between each block that allows rainfall to drain into the natural water-courses, rather than pushing the water through potentially overloaded water drainage systems and resulting in the possibility of localised flooding. Environment The Carbon Trust Standard The Carbon Trust Standard is awarded only to organisations that measure, manage and reduce their carbon footprint and organisations that achieve the Standard are taking real action to reduce their direct impact on climate change. 36 General Information Dimensions All dimensions quoted for natural stone are nominal and as most are hand made they will be subject to manufacturing tolerances. Natural stone coverage quoted in the brochure includes the appropriate joint widths to enable the correct amount of stone to be purchased to cover a given area. Basic laying patterns with joint widths are available upon request from Pavestone. Colours Variations in colour and shading will occur in natural stone paving. The swatches reproduced in this brochure are as accurate as reprographic processes allow and are indications of the overall hue produced by the variety of colour variations in the given product. It is essential that your view the actual product at your stockist prior to purchasing. It is also advisable that when the product ordered is delivered to your site, that you inspected it to deem it suitable prior to installation. Our reconstituted stone and concrete products contain natural aggregates and pigments and are manufactured in production batches. We cannot guarantee that products from different batches will have identical colouration and therefore we recommend that when using several packs of the same product on a project, that product is used randomly from all of the packs so as to achieve an overall blended appearance. Maintenance Standard Product. Pressure washing natural stone is not recommended as it will damage the joint pointing. Pressure washing may also damage the face of reconstituted stone and concrete paving. We do not recommend any chemical cleaners be used on our products but instead suggest that warm soapy water and a stiff broom be used to clean our products. M-Coat Products. General cleaning of M-Coat paving should be undertaken with a mop and bucket of soapy water as per the kitchen floor. Proprietary non abrasive kitchen floor cleaning and sterilising products may be used to clean or sanitise the paving. Specific spillages of strong coloured products should be wiped off the paving immediately with a damp cloth to prevent any permanent damage. Warranties In the unlikely event of our products reaching you in a less than satisfactory condition, please notify your supplier immediately who will be happy to organise replacement product for you. Please note that if a product is knowingly laid with a defect apparent prior to laying then we reserve the right not to replace the product and will not accept any responsibility for costs incurred to rectify. Standard Products. Defects affecting the product functionality that appear within one year of purchase will be corrected by way of replacement product and may or may not include some assistance to rectify depending on the circumstances. No consequential losses will be accepted. M-Coat Products. M-Coat paving is guaranteed for 10 years from the date of purchase not to be damaged by frost or to suffer from efflorescence staining. Under normal domestic conditions experience in the garden or conservatory M-Coat paving will resist staining from most everyday household products and natural phenomenon. Specific spillages should be wiped off the paving immediately with a damp cloth to prevent permanent damage. The seal, which on porous stone may need up to four coats, will also provide a protective coating against wear in most light traffic situations. Chamfered edges Hand split natural stone paving usually has chamfered edges. Always lay the stone with the chamfered edges own. Warning Never use Rock Salt or De-Icing Salts on concrete paving. Salt corrodes and destroys all concrete through a chemical reaction and in addition will exaggerate the natural freeze thaw cycles that erode the surface of concrete.
