1 1 CV for Kenneth Hamberg Kenneth Hamberg, Ph.D, Tech. Lic. M. E., Swedish, born Current Position: Senior Lecturer at Chalmers Tech. University, Department of Materials and Manufacturing Technology Education: 1975, M. E. in Mechanical Engineering at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg. 1984, Tech. Lic. In Materials Science (Title of Thesis:Microstructural Influence on the Fatigue Crack Propagation rate in two-phase Steels) 1986, Ph. D in Materials Sceince, (Title of Thesis: Microstructural Influence on the Fatigue Properties of Steel) Occupation: 1999, Senior Lecturer at Chalmers Tech. University R&D Since the last 18 years the main R&D topic has been Cast iron, especially ductile iron. During the time at Volvo I have written 207 technical reports over various materials problems that concerned cast materials. In most cases they concerned damage analysis or quality matter at some foundry. The last 3 years at Volvo I was manger for the cast metals group. During that time I was responsible for the R&D matters that concerned cast components and alloys. During the time at Volvo I actively worked together with the Swedish Foundry Association and have been chairman for some of their working comities, i.e. their projects that concerned silicon alloyed cast ion and materials data for ductile iron. I was also for some years member of their R/D guidance committee. I have been co-advisor for two Tech. Lic. Students. Previous Positions: , Ph. D student and Lecturer at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg , Senior Metallurgist at Volvo Technological Development Corporation, Cast Materials R&D In the publication list below publications 1-6 are included in my Ph. D theses, the others are additional papers after the oral defense of my theses. 1KH-CV
