1 Crime Scene investigation This class focuses on crime scene investigation, evidence collection and documentation, the key components of any criminal investigation. This course will teach students the importance of properly processing a scene and preparing cases for court. The course includes instruction on the legal considerations of a crime scene search, including approaching the scene, sketching, photographing, latent print processing, identification and evidence collection and preservation. It will also include instruction on the collection of DNA, digital and firearms evidence. Students who attend this course will process a mock crime scene at HFSC s Crime Scene House, providing them a unique opportunity to receive hands-on instruction and practical application of evidence collection, case review and other topics covered in the course.

His courses have been taught in Colombia, Paraguay, Mexico and other Latin American countries. Mr. Villarreal is a certified lead assessor of the ISO/IEC and standards. Mr. Villarreal is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Association for Identification (IAI.) He has also served as the chairman of the IAI s Crime Scene Certification Board.
4 Dr. Tammy S. Barette is a training specialist with the Houston Forensic Science Center. Dr. Barette Speaker: is a Forensic Anthropologist and has more than 15 years of experience in human skeletal Topic: identification and recovery of remains with associated evidence from crime scenes. Date: She Wednesday, earned her MA May and 28, 2014 Ph.D. in biological and forensic anthropology from Ohio State University. Dr. Time: 7:00 p.m. Barette also has a law degree from the Ohio State School of Law. Location: She is Rice a Certified University Senior 6100 Crime Main Street Scene Houston, Analyst TX through the International Association for Identification (IAI). Dr. Barette Duncan Hall 1070 served for 11 years as the coordinator of the forensic biology program at Keystone College in Pennsylvania. She has taught myriad forensic science courses, including photography and crime scene-related classes. Dr. Barette routinely presents at IAI and divisional IAI educational conferences. She is also a member of the IAI Science and Practice Subcommittee on Crime Scene Investigation and the Forensic Anthropology Committee of the IAI s Florida Division.
