2 Entry Level Foundation Programme CTH Level 3 Diploma Level 3 Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality This programme is aimed at those who wish to gain access to the rst year of selected university degrees, or to any of the Level 4 Diploma programmes. It is also a free-standing ation for those who wish to enter employment at team member level. Essential secondary education, a minimum age of 17 and an English language level of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent CTH Level 4 Diploma CTH Level 3 Diploma Bachelor s Degree Entry Career Start Hospitality and Tourism is the world s single biggest industry, covering everything from international airlines and global hotel chains right down to small family-run restaurants and private tour guiding. The career options are huge and varied. CTH s undergraduate & postgraduate level programmes specially designed to prepare the next generation of professionals in the sector. This preliminary foundation course is the rst step towards an exciting career... Study structure The CTH Cer cate in Tourism & Hospitality is a 120 Credit course (comprising 600 Guided Learning Hours) where students are required to demonstrate interpersonal, self study and research and presentation skills throughout the qual ation. Assessments are developed to encourage these skills to provide students with a very strong foundation for further studies in hospitality and tourism sectors. Students can achieve the guided learning hours in combination of face to face classroom interactions, attending seminars, visits to hotels, self study and group study as well as research work. If students are based at a study centre, they will be required to attend a certain number of lecture hours to support their studies, and will receive guidance to complete the learning hours. Students that are following this without face to face interactions, such as online or distance study may require more hours to complete the Admission requirements Students must have completed secondary education at AS level with a minimum age of 17 years and have at least English IELTS 5.0 level or an approved equivalent. Students who do not satisfy the English language requirement, may chose to combine this programme with CTH s in English for Hospitality & Tourism (Levels 1 & 2). 11 Undergraduate Level (Pro-Graduate) CTH Level 6 Diploma Overview The CTH Level Diploma is usually taught over a three year period and is designed as an integrated bachelor s degree equivalent programme. This programme is CTH s ultimate undergraduate level award and has been expressly designed to provide equivalent learning to that provided by a British university bachelor s degree programme in hospitality and tourism. In fact, graduates of this programme are able to convert their award into a recognised British university bachelor s degree from Binary University or BPP University College simply by completing an additional dissertation. CTH Level 4 Diploma Credit Entry CTH Level 5 Diploma Credit Entry CTH Level 3 Diploma Credit Entry BPP University Bachelors Degree (Dissertation only) CTH Level 6 Diploma High School Cer cate, GCSEs or O-levels Credit Entry Other university Bachelors Degrees (Final Year) The programme is designed as a 410 credit in international hospitality and tourism management, covering all the key management skills required for a management career in the sector. Students will attend a course of study of not less than 1,913 contact hours with additional private study required over and above this Admission requirements The selection of students for courses at Diploma level is at the discretion of the educational establishment operating the course. Students must have completed formal secondary education and have at least English IELTS 5.5 level or equivalent.
