Matteo Caleo. I worked in the laboratory of dr. Caleo also for my Master Thesis (Role of Interhemispheric Connections in Visual Cortex Plasticity). In 2008, I won a PhD position in Neurobiology at Scuola Normale Superiore in Pisa. My research activity was mainly focused on the study of inhibition in visual cortex development and, and in cortical circuits hyperexcitability. During my post doc, I am currently working on two projects: the role of interhemispheric connections in pathological models (stroke and epilepsy) and I am setting up an in vivo paradigm to test neuronal differentiation obtained in vitro.
