Russett * curriculum vitae 7 Core faculty in the Social Work program. Teach core courses, adviser to core majors, serve as faculty liaison to social work student organizations. Supported self-study for CSWE standards of accreditation (2012). As Director of Field Education; oversee and coordinate the senior level field placement experience; establish internship sites; interview, match, and place upcoming students; identify placements sites and negotiate contracts; implemented new software to track student placement and outcomes. Program Coordinator for the Prevention of High Risk College Drinking, Department of Education College of William and Mary, Williamsburg, VA Provide primary oversight and management of a two-year grant, totaling $276,804, awarded by the U.S. Department of Education s Office of Safe and Drug Free Schools to reduce high risk drinking among college students. Responsible for the development and implementation of a unique prevention program developed in part through personal research to college men and women. The program structure places emphasis on empowering students through motivational interviewing techniques and adaptation to student needs. Responsible for the programs research design, implementation, and overall short and long term evaluation processes. Deploy the CORE Alcohol and Drug Survey to select students, interpret data using SPSS, and use results to inform program practice. Accountable for all fiscal management including approving expenditures, projecting budget needs, and reporting expenses. Supervise graduate assistants associated with the project. Collaborate with campus wide partners on alcohol related initiatives, including a 21 st Birthday program, alcohol poisoning information cards, and establishing a student alcohol screening process through the use of the AUDIT. Coordinated a campus-community wide town hall meeting to address college student drinking. Serve on the college alcohol committee and collaborate with student services. Williamsburg Place & The William J. Farley Center; Counselor; Diamond Health Care, Richmond, VA Employed as a PRN counselor. Provide therapeutic group and individual counseling to impaired professionals in a residential substance abuse treatment facility. Beaumont Juvenile Correctional Center; Department of Juvenile Justice, Beaumont, VA Counselor Supervisor: Supervised case managers, conducted performance evaluations, reviewed case management files and ensured compliance with department standards, developed and evaluated substance abuse program for incarcerated male juveniles, served as administrator on call and provided management back up and support, reviewed, implemented, and interpreted institutional policy and procedures, ensured life, health, and safety standards were met.
