14 From the OLs. I feel that I was able to give a lot of advice to new OLs and ease their worries about Orientation. I felt well prepared to overcome these challenges, but I love the support that I got back from returning and new OLs alike I think that this really shows how much we learn in August training, and the amazing support structure that O-fam creates. So overall, I feel that I was able to act as a mentor, but also get just as much support back from others. -Senior, Returning OL 13
15 From the OLs. I believe there is value to growing as a "senior" member of an organization. I feel that due to this being my second time as a returning OL, I learned how to better be a returner. I grew in my knowledge and understanding of what a returner can do for new members to an organization and I believe that will greatly aid me when working in teams in the future. -Senior, Returning OL 14
16 From the OLs. One of the biggest rewards of serving as an Orientation Leader for me was the amazing sense of family that o-fam instills and the support I felt and still feel from this amazing group of people 15
17 In Summary Why do we build the family dynamic? It benefits the program, the leaders and most importantly the new students and their families this program is designed to serve. It helps us hold a large staff accountable. It inspires leaders to return and continue to contribute their talents to our team. 16
