38 GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR STUDENTS FROM A DUTCH RESEARCH UNIVERSITY Students with a bachelor degree from the University of Twente: IBA: direct admission Others: admission via 15 to 30 EC individual pre-master (you need to apply!) 42 APPLYING: BE AWARE OF THE FOLLOWING Mind the deadlines: not all deadlines are the same at UT (or for each group) Even if you know that you first need to do pre-master, the starting date given at your application is the starting date that you are able to start studying at the UT! Mind the difference between application and enrolment (or registration): application means you ask if you are eligible, with enrolment you say you will come (if your application is accepted (with or without a bridging programme). Not all official documents are directly needed for application (such as the diploma), however these are needed for enrolment (thus before you can start at UT) 42

APPLICATION = applying for admission Please submit your application including all required information as soon as possible, but at least before (for Dutch students): December 1st (start February 2016) July 1st (start September 2016) For international students other deadlines are applicable (VISA etc) DIPLOMA and IELTS may be handed in later on in the application procedure! See website for deadlines. REGISTRATION = formalizing your admission Should be done before: January (when starting in February 2016) August (when starting in September 2016) 48

For Non-UT students: Complete the (pre-)application form at The Admissions Committee replies by mail (letter) within 6 weeks, informing you on whether you are admitted or not, if applicable, your pre-master s programme and what you need to do to make your application final If admitted, you need to go through the process of enrolment yourself (Registration) For UT students: mail masterapplication-bms@utwente.nl 49

In case you receive your diploma after the starting date of the (pre-master s) programme (February 1 st or September 1 st ) but do have met all the degree requirements before the starting date: send a certified letter from your university stating all degree requirements have been met. 50
