1 WE MAKE THINGS HAPPEN The Wintershall Norge Art Collection 2013 Bergen office
2 The purpose of Wintershall s art program Wintershall has over a long period supported art, and used it as a source of joy, inspiration and provocation. Good art invites us to really see ourselves if we dare. In Kassel, our headquarters hometown, Documenta, the world s most important exhibition of modern and contemporary art takes place every five years, and lasts 100 days. Since the beginning in 1955, it has grown from visitors to in This shows the importance and power of art. Our Art Program, as seen in our main office in Norway, consists of 51 different works of art made by 24 different artists. This is art of high quality, showing different and new techniques and modes of expression. Many of these pieces have been specially made for us. We are happy now to include our new Wintershall Bergen office in our growing Art Program. In Bergen we have a variety of 31 pieces of art made by 21 different artists. Our intention is to use the art in an interactive way to contribute to our personal development and to our company s growth as a whole. We want our art to stimulate our senses, challenge and provoke. At the same time we believe our interaction with art will also confirm and build our identity, and contribute to more courage in our creative and professional hunt for unique values in the process of creating profit and building our company s culture.
