Scope of application: explosion hazard zones of classes 1 and 2 as per GOST R (IEC ) and GOST (IEC :1995) of rooms and outdoor installations according to explosion protection labelling, GOST R (IEC ) and GOST (IEC :1996), and also flammable dust ignition hazard zones of classes 21 and 22 as per GOST IEC BASIC TECHNICAL DATA 2.1. DESCRIPTION OF DESIGN AND EXPLOSION PROTECTION AND FLAMMABLE DUST IGNITION PROTECTION METHODS 3.1. Description of Design The boxes are made in the form of cases with lids fastened by screws made of polystyrene (types 26.xxxxxx, 06.xxxxxx, 16.xxxxxx), thermoplastic (type 28.xxxxxx), aluminium (types 25.xxxxxx, 05.xxxxxx, 15.xxxxxx) or stainless steel (types 34.xxxxxx, 35.xxxxxx, 36.xxxxxx). Depending on the version, the following Ex component accessories may be installed inside the boxes: terminal blocks, circuit breakers, switches, buttons, signal lights, distributing bus-bars, measuring instruments and other certified electrical equipment as per the manufacturer s technical documentation. The gasket between the case and lid ensures the required ingress protection level and, depending on the designation, protection from electromagnetic radiation (EMC). Cable inputs are installed on the end faces of the case. Ex component accessories of boxes must have Customs Union Technical Regulation certificates of conformance. See the operating instructions for a detailed description of the design of boxes Explosion protection of boxes is ensured by type e protection as per GOST R and GOST and the use of Ex component accessories with certificates of conformance that have explosion-proof enclosure explosion protection as per GOST R (IEC ) and GOST (IEC :1998), compound sealing (m) as per GOST R (IEC ) and GOST (IEC :1992), intrinsically safe circuit i as per GOST R (IEC ) and GOST (IEC :1999) and by meeting the requirements of GOST R (IEC ) and GOST (IEC :1998) Flammable dust ignition protection of boxes is ensured by meeting the requirements of GOST R IEC LABELLING Labelling on the box cases includes the following data: Manufacturer mark or name Product name Product serial number using the manufacturer s numbering system Certification centre name or mark and certificate number

Ambient temperature range (depending on version) and other data required by regulatory and technical documentation, which the manufacturer must indicate on the label. Series RU No SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR USE The X mark after the explosion protection label means that the following requirements (special conditions), which are indicated in the operating instructions, must be followed during box operation: During box operation, the maximum current load must be observed depending on the number of connected cables, their cross section and the box dimensions, which can be found in the operating manual. Only one lead may be connected to each clamped connection on each side. Terminal clamps intended for installation in boxes with type e protection must be installed so that the leakage paths and electrical gaps between the terminal clamps and other components of the enclosure and lid conform to the requirements of GOST R and GOST for the appropriate voltage. The maximum voltage and dissipated power indicated on the box label plate must not be exceeded. Use only certified cable inputs, plugs and electrical accessories in boxes. Intrinsically safe circuits in boxes must be separated from non-intrinsically safe circuits by screens or electrical gaps in accordance with GOST R (IEC ) and GOST (IEC :1999). Connect only circuits with intrinsically safe parameters to boxes with Ex label 0Ex ia IIC T6, T5 and T4 Ga X. Changes may be made to approved drawings and designs only with the consent of Non-Profit Independent Research Organisation Certification Electrical Equipment.
