10 14. Please comment on any of your answers. Text Response My experience would have been better if a major in African American studies were made available. Once I took my first African American studies minor class I knew that that was actually what I wanted to study. And my advisor, Tru Leverett, was of no help to me. I found more help from my psychology advisor and Valarie Robinson from Career Services. I was and still am interested in I.O. Psychology and human resources. I now know that the business department has a course in human resource management. I wish I would have known more about it so I could have taken the class. I wish UNF also had more classes tailored to I.O. psych as well. I believe that UNF allowed me to study abroad, and i might not have been able to do that at any other college. Had I been afforded the ability to work less, I could have taken advantage of more educational opportunities and experiences outside of courses. Perhaps I would have been able to participate more if I did not have to work while I was attending UNF. MY entire experience at UNF has been wonderful! From Campus OneStop to the Bookstore, there is always that feeling that you want me to succeed. I have greatly enjoyed my time here. Pending my acceptance into Grad School, I may stay a bit longer! There were some professors in the Psychology Department that made courses more difficult then they needed and and were extremely unorganized. There was no structure to the internship program, in which I had to find one on my own. May want to consider becoming more the Education Department in that right. When I initially entered UNF I was not a strong student, since then I have found a passion and excelled within my major. Having said that UNF is still lacking in advising as far as premedical and medical advice/knowledge go. I have utilized the "Bio-medical pre-prof club" and their myriad of resources, however I found them all to be either surface deep or entirely clique ridden. / / Many students from UNF aspire to attend one of Florida's many medical schools. I think it is a shame that myself and many of my peers find ourselves calling and asking for academic and personal advice from advisors at larger school such as University of Florida or Florida State. UNF is a great school, however we are entirely focused on the immediate rather than preparing students to be competitive in the next portion of their lives. My high school experience with Stanton IB was much more challenging than my experience at UNF. I recognize that I came into the university more educated than most students from other schools. My writing abilities were more on par with graduate students at UNF, and if I could stress the importance of anything it is that undergraduate students at UNF need stronger writing skills. I would strongly recommend including an essay on the application. I realize that you all are striving to report high numbers in terms of GPA and SAT scores, but those numbers mean very little if students aren't actually able to think critically or communicate effectively. A more holistic review of applicants might be helpful. In addition, I was disappointed by the teaching quality in many of my courses. I did not feel like it was a good investment of my time or money when I attendance was required in courses where professors with doctorates would simply read/review the textbook. Most of what I gained from UNF was the degree itself, which of course I need - but I do not feel I really learned as much as possible from a university education. UNF is a decent University. The professors were knowledgeable and I enjoyed how they related their fields of study to the topics at hand. However, UNF feels more like a small college rather than a University. I definitely appreciated the diversity and expansive activities at my previous college. The psychology department is lacking proper education on careers, opportunities, etc to better

11 educate those students. Many psychology students do not understand the commitment to the career until they are halfway done with their undegrad. I also think their needs to be a stronger gender studies department. My UNF education was life transforming in the fact that I learned a lot about myself, others, and my chosen line of work - unfortunately these mostly personal revelations cost me a few thousand dollars more than I would have cared for. I am unsure if I would do it again, I became very frustrated with some of the "red tape" that UNF has in place, and some of my professors were better suited for something OTHER than teaching. Overall, the experience also lasted longer than I would've liked it to. UNF's agenda seems to be thrust upon me as a student - and here's my biggest problem - I am the student. I am paying for this experience, and it needs to be done my way or how other students want to do it. As an example, why are pieces of art being installed in parking lots when there is a clear need for more parking as a whole, why are we building new buildings and the like when resident's living on campus need more resources available to them? UNF's resources can be better allocated to what STUDENTS want - not what the UNVIERSITY wants. Since I was working the vast majority of the time while attending school, it kind of held me back from doing more extra curriculum activities or course loads. I could have done more, but I am content with my experience. I received a wonderful education that not only prepared me for my field of study, but it also made me feel more confident to pursue a more difficult career in my field of study. My UNF experience has been enjoyable. I enjoyed and valued my education at UNF but do not believe the return on investment is positively correlated with potential job opportunities in the future. I believe the cost of education, at the bachelor's level, will not be paid back without additional degrees. / / Additionally, one cannot take full advantage of educational opportunities when limited by both money and state requirements on the number of classes that can be taken. For example, there are many crossstudies classes that would be beneficial to daily living but not available without going into that degree or field of study. Sometimes I wish I would have gotten more involved on campus. I wish I would have joined more clubs or put myself out there more. However, being a full time student, & some weeks also working full time was a lot to balance so being more involved was not so easy. I absolutely love UNF. The professors are caring and really want their students to succeed, not only in their grades but after the course has ended. If UNF offered a speech pathology program, I would be applying here for graduate school. I worked hours. The option was selected in error. I had to work full-time while at school so I feel I did not get to take full advantage of all the educational opportunities offered at UNF. I wish I didn't slack off more and were more interested in classes and GPAs during my freshmen through junior year. My final two semesters at UNF, along with the previous summer semester, were the most effective of my educational career at UNF as far as transforming my life, leading me to my current career goals, and helping me prepare the most for the steps to follow graduation. Mainly Dr. Angela Mann and Dr. Iver Iversen were huge influences in my career path!!!!!

13 16. Of all the courses that you have taken in your major, which have been the best and why? Text Response Crime and mental illness. I love this class because professor bates keeps the class exciting and interesting. Since I am a dual major, this class applied to both majors and I really enjoyed the class. Foundation of Child/Adolescent Psychology because it was easy and I also learned a lot of information that I will keep with me when I have children. Behavioral Management..Taught other ways to control behavior. Social Science, I loved the teacher and the subject, Melissa Hirschman. I also really enjoyed my classes geared toward my minor of Social Welfare with Ross McDonough. The practicum I did was the most life changing event of my college career, and I will probably find employment with the organization that I interned in. Experimental cognitive psychology with Dr. Schmuller. He was both the most helpful professor and the most challenging professor I have ever had at UNF and he definitely prepared me for a graduate program. I only wish I had taken more classes with him. He sets a much higher standard for writing and presentation skills than any other professor I have ever had. Sociology of Sexuality Social Psychology, because the material was the most interesting to me and my professor was extremely knowledgeable and engaged in the course. The experimental courses I took really helped me to understand the scientific method for psychological research. Learning theory and homeland security were very interesting and I apply a lot of what I learned in those classes to my everyday life. Research Methods - taught me to think critically about information i read online and in the media / / Intro to Counseling - because it helped me realize I want to go to grad school to be a counselor Cognitive Psychology, it has many parallels to every day life. It was a challenging course but I loved it. Human, learning and performance is also another course I learned so much in thanks to professor Schmuller. Hands down one of the best professors at UNF in the psych department. So happy I finally took him, even though he challenges you, he wants his students to succeed. Child and Adolescent Development, with prof. Marcon / Research Methods with Dr. Oliver / Adolescent Literature with Prof. Sandra McDonald / Black American Literature with Prof. Leverette / Social Psychology / These classes all engaged me and the Professors were great at teaching the material. I learned a lot in these classes and really enjoyed them. Learning Theory, Dr. Higley was a very inspirational man, and the class changed a lot of my perspectives. / Human Sexuality, Dr. Olive. I learned and explored a lot about myself that have been beyond useful. / Abnormal Psych, Dr. Lynn. She made the class memorable. I enjoyed my abnormal psychology class the most because I found it interesting to learn about the different diseases that exist in the world of mental health. Behavior Modification, counseling, and Abnormal Psychology,for the practical insight, Independent Studies (with Dr. Baker), for the chance to see the other side of the classroom, and the chance to teach a class or two. Social psychology I am a dual major in Psychology and Criminal Justice. There are so many places where the overlap in the two programs is seamless. Too many awesome classes to list Social Psychology and Learning Theory (the second time)- these classes showed the implications of decisions in my life and how the world worked.

14 Organizational Psychology, Behavior Modification, I/O Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Abnormal Psychology I cannot pick the best one. It depends on the class and professor who was the teaching the class. I had a few who I loved and made the class enjoyable. All of the Psych based Experimental courses. Hands down Dr. Schmuller is preparing his students for grad school more than any other professor. From his class, though difficult, I learned to synthesize dense information in a limited amount of time (critical for the GRE or MCAT), learned how to use advanced computer software proficiently (MS Excel, SPSS, Powerpoint etc) and had to overcome a fear of public speaking. I feel many professors are impartial to their students, once again not focused on molding students to be competitive no matter what field they choose to pursue. It's rare to find someone who is willing to commit to creating a better student. Crime and mental illness / Professor Lisa Bates is an awesome professor who teaches you about life and the criminal justice system and how they intertwine. She really inspired me to see the world differently. Leaning theory and Behavior Modification because I think behavioral is one of the most interesting disciplines in psychology and I enjoyed having Dr. Thoreck as the Prof. for those classes. Human Sensory Perception: I enjoyed the challenge of the course Ab normal psychology because it kept my interest and was the most related to my field of study and career choice. Cognitive Psychology, I loved this class; loved the syllabus, the teaching materials and the professor was nice and easy to get along with. Human Development with Jody Nicholson was the best course I took in my major by far. This is a graduate level course, but I received her permission and department permission to take it as an undergraduate student. This is the only course I took that I believe actually helped me develop my writing skills further, and the course materials encouraged critical thinking and interdisciplinary thinking to a much greater extent than course materials in many other courses. Sociology, Lifespan development Abnormal Psychology, Behavior Modification, and Lifespan Development. These are all courses that I believe will help me in my future career goals. The professors were alll very knowledgeable and very helpful. Plus they had experience related to those courses and could really help me out if I needed it. Psychology of women, Childhood Psychopathology. I had great professors who kept me engage and well informed on the content. The courses that engage what I want to do directly - while a liberal and well rounded education is important, we go to college to do what we love and find a career we love - not to learn about something that may be irrelevant and uninteresting. I enjoyed my abnormal psychology / child psychopathology courses, as well as my Applied Dev. Psych and Adv Child Psych classes. The professors made them interesting and I learned concepts and theories that have prepared me for my career. Any class with Professor Thoreck. He was a wonderful professor who made every class I took with him interesting and taught me more then I learned from any other professor at UNF. Animal Behavior with Professor Quincy Gibson was awesome. I nfeel that I learned so much. This is the feild I want to go into so I was very excited to take this class. I had some knowledge of the information in the class, but still learned something new. The Practicum at head start, Experimental of Cognitive psychology, Applied Child Psychology, The reason why I consider those course to be the best is because they were really challenging for me and a learn a great deal of knowledge about the field and how to apply that knowledge into real-life experience. History of Psychology with Higley. Not only did we learn the history of psych, but he used that

15 time with us to teach us to learn about ourselves as individuals and to be true to thyself. It was an inspirational class with a caring professor. I was not good with writing, and he pushed us to be better than mediocre. Abnormal Psychology, because I was able to learn about all the different disorders that a person can have. Any experimental psychology class because it challenged me I have found that it isn't the courses so much as the instructors that have been life-changing. Whether it was History of Psychology or Stress Management, Professor Higley pushed students to be more accountable. I discovered how to care about my education and the education of others in his classes. I also enjoyed Fundamentals of Conflict Transformation with Dr. Carroll. She is passionate about her job and area of expertise. Social psychology because it has both the connection of psych and business. Human Learning and Performance because I love Dr. Iversen & Abnormal Psychology classes with Dr. Fisak. Psychobiology and Human Sensory & Perception. They were more along the lines of my career goal. Industrial/Organizational Psychology and Research Methods were two of the most pivotal courses for me. I/O Psych helped me decide what I finally wanted to do with my degree (go into HR and pursue a graduate degree in I/O) while Research Methods gave me the confidence I needed to take my upper-level classes. I thought I would do horribly in research, but I ended up being one of the best students and had my professor asking me to join her research team. I loved Psychological Testing with Dr. Alloway. She was a great teacher and the subject matter is very interesting. Learning Theory with Professor Brian Higley. He helped me to understand the difference between learning and regurgitation. This was ironic given the situation regarding the different ways we learn (classical conditioning, behavorism, etc.). Abnormal psychology was an awesome course. It was interesting, and relevant to my life, I have an autistic, mentally handicap son. Cognitive Psychology. Dr. Schmuller is by far the most amazing professor I've ever had. He taught me how to think, how to study, and how well students can do when they're held to high standards. Colorism in the U.S. taught by Dr. Wilder, Behavior Modification and Learning taught by Dr. Thoreck and People and Cultures in Mexico taught by Dr. Simon and Women and Violence in America by Dr. Lopez and Intro to LGBT Studies All of these classes were so interesting and expanded my knowledge of what I thought I knew. Sometimes the material was hard but the instructors made it fun and engaging. I loved every second and opportunity the classes allowed me. theories of personality For psychology: I really liked Abnormal Psychology with Professor Ybarra. He made the class very interesting & I've always loved learning about the brain & mental disorders. / For Criminal Justice: Family Violence sticks out with Professor Wesely. We see different things about domestic violence on TV all the time but it really was interesting to learn more about dating violence, relationship violence, abuse & elder abuse in a classroom setting. research methods with Dr. Hooper. She taught us to think critically, pushed us to excellence and brought real-life examples to class that made the material relevant and interesting. I cannot say enough how much I benefited from that challenging course. / / Abnormal psychology-i felt I gained a much better understanding of what psych majors can do in the career field after graduation, which kinds of degrees are needed for different careers, and gained a deeper understanding of mental health issues that seem to be everywhere nowadays. Dr. Fisak is one of the best professors I have had. I really appreciate his lecture style. Theories of Personality, because it was challenging but relevant and greatly stimulated my

16 interest in personality psychology. Cognitive psychology as well because Dr. Leding provides great framework to learn the concepts. Developmental Psychology courses were definitely the best because they taught me the most and I've been able to apply that material the most. Classes led by Dr. Santos or Professor Grotuss. Both professors went above and beyond my expectations. Their passions for education are apparent both in and out of the classroom. I am in the social work program so I thing every course I took within this program was the best because it was specifically about my major and how it works in the real world. (The next questions ask me what my major is and there is no option for social work major... So my answers may not be useful for that section) Abnormal psychology - very insightful / All of my criminal justice classes with Professor Bates Theories of Personality because it taught me what I wanted to know about people. I find myself using what I learn in my personal life. Honors Thesis because it helps to prepare you for grad school. My Introduction to Counseling & Abnormal Psychology classes were definitely some of the best courses I have taken in my college career. I had Dr. Baker for both classes and the amount of information I learned during that time was incredible. I feel as though those courses have prepared me more for my career than any others. Sociology of sexuality- the class made you think an apply the terms/meanings based on society's norm I thoroughly enjoyed Organized Crime and White Collar Crime, because it is close to my career choice. I loved my intro to counseling course. Dr. Santos offered a very comprehensive view of counseling approaches, and I appreciated her candor about the perks and drawbacks of the career. Childhood Psychopathology with Dr. Fisak because he made the material not only interesting but he related it to real world examples to make it easier to understand. Experimental Analysis of Behavior with Dr. Iver Iversen. It was the class that lead me to my prospective career in Applied Behavior Analysis. Psychobiology: Really enjoyed my experience in Professor Sletton's class. Cynical and wry humour helped drive the topics home and presented the class in an enjoyable manner. I have been truly convicted that it is as much about the professor as it is the actual course itself. The mind-body connection is intricate and fascinating. / / Abnormal Psychology: Really liked Ybarra's teaching style. Enjoyed the in class activities that drove home points from the day. Interesting learning about the personality and the mental disorders that can accompany it. / / I enjoyed both of Marcon's classes greatly (lifespan and childhood development). Great professor and compelling topics. / / Education and psychology courses The course I took before I transferred

17 17. Of all the courses that you have taken outside your major, which have been the best and why? Text Response African American Literature because I was forced to think and write critically. I was made to go the extra mile and out of the box to make others think. I learned from this class about local African American authors. From this class alone, I realized that I want to pursue a degree in African American studies. Keith Cartwright is an amazing teacher! Alternative Medicine. Although it was a minor degree, I have always been interested in alternative ways of healing. Also Epidemiology because the Ms. Lukens-Bull was a fantastic teacher and made Epi understandable. All of my couses were either directed toward my major or my minor. College Algebra Anthropology, because the way different cultural groups live and celebrate customs is very interesting as I plan on traveling after college. Philosophy was the best! I loved the way the professor taught it. The reading material made it easy to relate what I was learning to real world practices and experiences. Gender and Society- because it help me gain a better understanding of how gender plays a roll in our everyday lives and also gave me a greater compassion for people of 3rd and 4th genders. / Women and Crime- because it opened my eyes to the many societal issues within the legal system that effect how women and minors are processed through the system. Intro to Gov, learned so much that applies to every day life. You need to know about politics because the government governs our lives History and appreciation of Rock with Prof. Scott - I was never into music, but i learned a lot in his class / World History II with Prof Matthews - She was really engaging and, although, i despise history i learned a lot in her class. Linguistics, Dr. Kephart. It was a brilliant course lead by a very educated man. I was able to formulate so many new ideas about certain theories in the world of psychology from this course. Health illness and society, this class is my favorite because I had an amazing teacher that kept the class engaged and also I learned a lot in this class. All of my Criminal Justice classes for a better understanding of the legal system, and all of my History classes, for a better understanding of the eras that I studied. Biology I am a dual major in Psychology and Criminal Justice. There are so many places where the overlap in the two programs is seamless. Too many awesome classes to list African American Music Heritage All were major related Again I cannot pick jsut one. I have been here two years and it is hard for me to pick just one class when I have multiple ones that I like. I can't even remember my name half of the time let alone the classes that I have taken during the course of the time that I have been here. Also, some classes I had to retake so I may not have enjoyed it the first time but I enjoyed it the second time or vice versa. All of my MCAT prerequisites, it ties hard science in with the pseudo-science nature of psych Calculus for business was my favorite because I enjoy math and calculus clicked with me. Racial and Cultural Minorities: I enjoyed the diversity of the course I did not have to take any classes not related to my major. I had previously completed all previous required classes before attending unf. Don't remember. The anthropology course I took as part of my gen ed requirements (Peoples and Cultures of the World, I believe?) because it was the first place I saw sex and gender somewhat deconstructed

18 and analyzed as social constructions. I think it is important that all students are exposed to gender and sexuality studies. Sociology of Sexualities was also a valuable course for the same reasons. all of my ASL courses Sociology of Deviance, Social Service Provision, and Anthropology. The first two will help me develop a career in helping people in either case managment or in the criminal justice field (as a juvenile probation officer). Anthropology definitely opened my eyes to other cutltures which will help when I work with diverse clients in the future. Sexuality and Culture, and LGBTQ Studies. They are both great courses that had professors who were passionate about the material, and changing the world we live in. Classes that applied to what I was currently doing in my line of work, as they helped me improve my work immediately rather than long term or after I left college. All of the classes I took for my Social Welfare minor. They were taught by professionals in the field and their experience paired with the course material was especially educational. NA Human Sexual Behavior with John Oliver was by far my favorite. I learned so much information that I find I can use in real life. He opened my eyes to who I really am as a person. I never really had any sexual education growing up. It was definetly a life changer for me. All my ASL classes. I am very interested in learning a new language and all the professors were excellent and encouraging to continue learning and really get involve within that deaf community. Gender and Society. I have always been a feminist even before I knew what the term meant, I want to empower people and not be naive about the term and embrace that we all should be feminist, not for the women to rule the world, but for all genders to be equal and treat each one with the respect they deserve. The Evolution of Jazz because I was able to appreciate the music and I also learn to understand the history behind the music. Nutrition, I liked learning about it I recently took 2 ENC classes (Technical Writing and Intensive Writing) with Instructor Roarty. I think these two classes have helped me become a better communicator. Also, I really respect the way the instructor managed the classes. I was pushed to pursue excellence, but graded fairly. I was never blindsided or confused as to what was expected of me. I really want to stress that the experience teachers create in the classroom (or online) has a profound impact, not so much the material being taught. Business law, the professor (schupp) was amazing and very knowledgable. Substance abuse and violence prevention because it relates to the career path I want to take. NA I took an introduction to photography class (taught by Logan Zawacki, who unfortunately was not hired as a full time professor and thus left UNF) that completely changed my life. I know have the basic tools to pursue my hobby and have even considered obtaining a second degree in photography some time in the future. What I learned in that class was so transformative that I began the semester not knowing much about DSLR photography, while today, about a year later, I am regularly asked to do freelance photography and do portraits and weddings. It has been an unexpected blessing to have a side income that I enjoy. This class should be more heavily advertised since the photography industry is growing so much. I would rather see lots of educated beginners in the field, rather than people who think they know what they're doing and charging money for it. I took a course at FSCJ on the 20th Century from the industrial revolution to the 1980's. It was the best class ever. It was taught by a German Professor, Dr. Wentdorff. We mainly focused on WWI and how that gave rise to WWII and Hitler but we also looked at art and music of the 1950's and 60's. He was an amazing professor.

19 Financial Management with Professor Oliver Schnusenberg. Wow! This subject is tough and takes much concentrate and dedication to understand. He not only presents the information comparative to real-life circumstances but he also challenges students to work hard and succeed. Crime and Mental Illness was the best by far. It was a very exciting and interesting course to take. This course actually peaked my interest in criminology. Music Since I've had the ability to listen to and learn about music I would have never found on my own. Apparently, I like weird music! It's fun to have class discussions when we're all out of our elements, and it was really nice to have a small intimate class. listening Most of my classes that I took outside my major were free electives for my other major. (My free electives for Psychology Major were Criminal Justice classes & my free electives for Criminal Justice were Psychology courses). Human Sexuality with Dr. John Oliver-it completely changed my views on human sexuality and educated me on so many relevant topics that will affect me for the rest of my life. I did not grow up in an environment where sex was discussed and in the Christian school I attended, there was no sex ed class. I feel like the knowledge I gained from this course has impacted me and made me a much more educated person when it comes to human sexuality and relationships. Intro to Rhetoric and Narrative with Frederick Dale. He really pushes students to become better writers and genuinely cares As a double major, all classes were within my major. Sociology of Sexualities, because it is applicable to understanding our culture. I would have to say Spanish because it is always good to be culturally diverse and it is important to try to learn other languages. All of the classes at UNF were for my major Fiction writing because it's one of my passions and I really enjoyed improving my writing. Art History because it develops analytical thinking skills. My Anthropology class was probably one of the most interesting. It was online, so the course was very assignment intensive but it definitely altered my perspective of other cultures. I really enjoyed each assignment and reading for that course. N/A All the courses I took outside my major were equally interesting. history because they are informative and allow me to think critically and understand the world in a better way. they also increase my writing skills Dr. Mauro's The Denial of Death was my absolute favorite class. Not only did it fulfill a lit requirement for my minor, it also changed the lens through which I view the world. All of my ASL courses because I was able to see a different culture right here within my community andi met and interacted with many interesting individuals Every Sociology or Anthropology course! All of Rick Phillip's classes (Dev and Social Control, Sociological theory) have been life changing. Relates topics and theorys back to the individual in a personal and compelling manner. / / Social Change and Int. Development with Dr. Jaffee has been fascinating as well. Learning about the innerworkings and dynamics associated with international trade and development has opened my eyes. / / Cultural Geography with Professor Coleman: This class should be required among incoming freshman (in my humble opinion). Passionate professor with real world experieneces backing up course material make this class compelling and worthwhile. I looked forward to this class every day. Learning about the Jeffersonian Bible and Coleman's time in the war are lectures that will stick with me until I die.

21 19. Please comment on your answer. Text Response Research Methods because I don't plan on doing research I feel that every course some how ties into my major in at least one way. I double majored, all the classes that i took besides my Gen Ed courses were all relevant to my majors. As a whole I took Yoga, Film class, and sociology of sexuality that were not required for either my major or minor just to fill credit hours. I took a political science class, because politics are interesting to me and one day I would love to get into the political world. UNF makes it all relevant To replace the foreign language requirement I took a personal training class for an elective and I also wanted to learn more about eating better and working out properly. MCAT prereq's I think having a basic understanding of the various disciplines is important in psychology even if you specialize in a particular one. I did not take any courses that were not relevant to my field of study All classes were extremely relevant. I'm not sure what you are asking. / / **Note on the last page that asks specifically about psychology - I am sure many students learned those skills through the psychology major at UNF, but many of those skills are relatively basic and I learned them either before or apart from my coursework at UNF. I took business courses and am a Psychology major - I feel that this may allow me to have my own business in the future, but these courses also applied to my current line of work, so they helped me improve my current work experience. I don't feel that Cognitive Psychology and Learning Theory were relevant. I think all of the classes I took were really relevant to my major. What is not relevant to Psychology? What isn't relevant in the game of life? I took classes that I thought were interesting and have always found the knowledge applicable. I only took courses that related to my field of study. I could have finished much earlier since I had so many AP classes when I got to UNF, but I chose to spend some time cultivating my own interests since my scholarship paid four years in full. It was one of the best decisions I've made. I've experienced photography, music, and even had the chance experience a few different minors before making up my mind. I did not feel pressured at all into making a decision and ended up dropping my minor anyway, but I wouldn't go back and change it either way. I wish I could have taken more classes relevant to my field. Unfortunately, I feel like I would have been penalized monetarily through fines and fees by taking more courses within my field of study, despite their relevancy and a potential future value. Human Sensory Perception will not be useful to me in my future endeavors. The required foreign culture credits I had to take for obtaining my Bachelor's degree. Although they were interesting, they were not helpful in my chosen field of study. I took several psychology classes just because they looked interesting (and most of them- I LOVED) even though I would never want to work in that feild. For example, I chose to take lifespan development, and I enjoyed it, but I never want to work with children. 1970s Film in Context. It was interesting but given the chance I would have liked to take it with someone else. The class was not well-organized. I really really love Psychology & Criminal Justice so I mainly focused on taking classes in that field. If there was a class I wanted to take, I would try but often times, it did not fit into my

22 schedule. For example, Theories of Personality & Crime & Mental Illness; I have been wanting to take BOTH of those classes for semesters and semesters now but never got the chance to because they either filled up or did not fit into my schedule. The Foreign Cultures classes were required but not relevant. I felt that they took time away from my ability to work within my department. Every course I took within my major was in some way relevant because whether it was research, groups, human interactions with the environment, or macro social work, they all are important in the social work profession. I'm looking in the future to pursue a degree in forensic psychology which is a mixture of both psychology and criminal justice. I took an enjoyment of music class during my first semester as one of my last 'free electives'. I studied music in high school and enjoyed the class. Didnt have the time. 20. What is your college?
