3 Outcomes during our 5 years efforts: Iran Eye Research Center (IERC) was established on 2003 by great efforts of the attending ophthalmologists of the Iran University of Medical Sciences, and started working aimed to be a premier eye research center, improving public visual health and creating knowledge through leadership, guidance and conducting organized researches.

12 IMAGEnet 2000 IMAGEnet Professional is an advanced digital imaging and archiving software system that runs under Microsoft windows XP and Windows IMAGEnet Professional supports multiple database configurations over networks.

13 IMAGEnet 2000 In addition, IMAGEnet supports a data exchange and communication function using the international DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication) standard. This adds the capability of doing so called telemedicine with IMAGEnet system. As soon as an image is taken, the image may be sent anywhere around the world with a few mouse clicks.

15 Optical Coherence Tomography OCT is a new noninvasive Imaging technology that provides a two-dimensional cross-sectional image of tissues.

17 Ultrasound Bio Microscopy Is an echo graphic instrument that uses very high frequency ultrasound ( MHZ ) to produce a two-dimensional view of anterior segment of the eye.

18 Orbscan Pentacam Measures 25,000 true elevation points 40 scans through light slits projected at a 45-degree angle Minute eye movements are captured and corrected simultaneously The system measures 9,600 points (240 from each of the 40 slits) A tracking system measures involuntary eye movement

19 Orbscan Pentacam Images the anterior segment by a rotating Scheimpflug camera in 2 seconds Based on two technologies: a calibrated video and slitscanning-beam system that measures anterior segment geometry and an advanced Placido-disk system that measures the curvature of the anterior surface of the cornea.
