3 The Baltic Deal Vision A greener agriculture for a bluer Baltic Sea driven by knowledge and advice Value of the project Farmers Optimizing the use of nutrients and reduce losses is a cost efficient way to enhance productivity and benefits of the farm. Advisors Baltic Deal provides advisory organisations in the Baltic Sea Region with improved methods and tools on how to support farmers to reduce nutrient losses from farms.

5 Polish agricultural advisory services In Poland, advisory service comes under different institutions and organizations. There are two main sectors: public advisory services private advisory Public advisory service is playing dominating role in Poland. This service is available for all farmers and is realized by Regional Agricultural Advisory Centres

6 Farm Advisory Service in Poland In accordance with the act, advisory should be provided by: public bodies; Regional (Voievodship s) Agricultural Advisory Centres 16 (2908 agricultural advisors out of 4097 employees) 16 Regional Agricultural Chambers 119 advisors private bodies accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development; accredited bodies agricultural 104 (226 advisors), forestry 170 (317 advisors).
