4 Forever Yours Finding the Hidden Greatness REX MAUGHAN In our business, a large part of our success is dependent upon finding the potential in others. No matter how unfortunate a person s circumstances are, they can be overcome with the right guidance and determination to change. Some of the best leaders in our company were discovered by Distributors who saw the strength and potential for success inside of them. Even when people do not believe in themselves, often all they need is a little inspiration and support from someone who does. Our most successful leaders at Forever are experts at finding the hidden greatness within others. People can be unpredictable and surprise you; you never know who will become your next Eagle Manager. This principle reminds me of the fable about the lion and the mouse. A mouse decided to interrupt a lion during his sleep one night. When the lion awoke and threatened to devour him, the mouse offered to help the lion one day in exchange for his life. Years later, the lion was captured and tied to a tree by a group of hunters. The mouse just happened to pass by and kept his word to the lion by gnawing through the ropes to free him. You never know who will contribute to your success in the future. Never underestimate the potential of others. Encourage them, train them, and most importantly, view them as your equal. Let me share another story that will hit a little closer to home for many of you. For some time, a Distributor, who we'll call 'John', had worried about how he was ever going to afford to send his children to a school where they could receive a top notch education. When John returned home from work one evening, he received a phone call from an old neighbor that he had not heard from in years. The man explained that he had been thinking about John for some time because of the friendship they had previously shared and all the help John and his family had given him during some difficult times. He explained the Forever business opportunity to him and the impact Forever had made in his life. John listened, joined Forever, and within six months his life changed dramatically. His hard work and determination paid off, and he became a Manager. Immediately, he began to save money toward his children s education, and he was so thankful that his old friend reached out to him with the opportunity that had changed his life, Forever! 5 Forever Building Your Business Over the next few months, we will be publishing articles that focus on Forever s 4Core indicators. The future strength and profitability of your business can be determined by measuring these 4Core indicators: Recruitment, Retention, Productivity, and Development. RECRUITMENT RETENTION PART 2 ELOPMENT DEV IVITY PRODUCT CT T The second 4Core principle is Retention. In order to build a thriving and lasting business, not only do we need to cultivate new contacts and ultimately sponsor new Distributors, but we must also take steps to insure that they stay engaged with the products and opportunity. C Retention: The percentage of Distributors on our recap who are active (4cc), and the percentage that are not new in that month. EV E There are several things we can do to grow these indicators to their maximum, and all of them require regular communication. Communication is the key factor in encouraging Distributors to stay engaged. It has been noted that relationships begin as a result of communication, and relationships end as a result of a lack of communication. Distributors need to be informed and encouraged, and to feel important and appreciated. These also are accomplished through effective communication. We need to make contact with our downline often via phone calls, text messages, personal visits, , etc. We need to update them with the latest news; and send them links to the new videos, training modules, products and Home Office messages. In addition to keeping Distributors informed, we should reinforce their decision to build the business and/or use the products; we should recognize them for their efforts and accomplishments; we should express our appreciation for their choosing to be in our group; we should encourage them to reach for greater heights; and we should train them according to their desired level of involvement. Let s remember that people go where they are wanted, stay where they are cared for, and grow where they are cultivated, and work to retain a larger percentage of our Distributors by improving our communication skills ALOE(2563) 5

6 The Forever keystone habit is to Let me ask you a question. When you got up this morning and got dressed did you think about which shoe you were going to put on first? Did you actually go - is it the right one or the left one? Of course not, right? Putting on your shoes is a habit, a subconscious routine. Habits are second nature. You don t have to think about it, you just do it. We re all creatures of habit and that got me thinking. What are the habits of great distributors in Forever? What habits do we need to lose, change or introduce to become great distributors? Let me propose this idea to you. What if all those actions required to be not just a good but a great distributor became habit? It became second nature. You just did it all the time. Wouldn t that make life easier? Wouldn t you just do them instinctively and you would know exactly what you need to do. How much easier would life be? How much more success would that bring you? Now I m sure you ve heard the phrase, why change the habit of a lifetime? Well, let me tell you why. Because if we change our habits and we instinctively do the right thing in the right way, then we learn to work smarter to be more productive. We lead by example and our teams pick up those habits also and they become more productive. But just like any change in your life, you have to want to do it. I can t make you do it. Rex can t make you do it. You have to do it from within. So, how do we change some of our bad habits? Let me give you a simple example. The cue is boredom. The routine is turning on the television and the reward can be some mental stimulation and you can just relax and sit there Instead, consider talking to your family members, or calling your team members, or downlines and find out how they are doing. Check in on them, and motivate them - that s much more productive then just sitting and watching TV. Or maybe you can go to the gym and start exercising to become healthier and feel stronger and better. These rewards can be much better than just the mental stimulation while sitting and watching TV. Do you think our great leaders are successful just because they re lucky? Or that by chance they made it there? I can tell you that s not the case. They found the right habits and they do them on a daily basis, over and over and over again. Consistent

I consider it vital to everything we do as a company and as individuals. This means I m not just asking you, but I m asking me and I m asking the entire staff of Forever, and the Country Managers, and everyone at Aloe Vera of America and Forever Nutraceutical - anyone who s related to the Forever world. I am sure that if we adopt this habit it will have an impact on everything we do: our businesses, our personal relationships, our happiness. The Forever keystone habit is to SMILE. Make it a habit to smile every day. If you re walking down the street, smile. If you re in an elevator, smile. We all can smile more. It makes us more attractive to our teams, to our prospects, to our customers, most importantly to our significant others. It s easier to solve issues too, you re positive and you re smiling! Take a look at your life and what you re doing in your business. If something that you re doing isn t making you smile, then change it. You need to look at the habit, the cue and the routine and change the routine, so that the reward is a smile. We can all become ambassadors of smiling. I promise it will bring you success.
