1 August 2014 URGENT: For all merchants using ICVERIFY over Datawire To support the upcoming Datawire SSL upgrade in Aug 2014 all current ICVERIFY merchants must follow the below instructions by Aug This communication is to follow up on the Datawire Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificate upgrade communication as it relates the users of ICVERIFY. You are receiving this communication as you have been identified as using ICVERIFY and we want to ensure you will not be impacted by the upcoming Datawire SSL upgrade. Important - please review before proceeding: ICVERIFY versions supported by the patch Are you using ICVERIFY with an integrated solution? The Patch supports ICVERIFY versions build 13 and above. If you re using an older version of ICVERIFY you will need to upgrade before you install the patch. Current deployed version of ICVERIFY is 4.2. You will need to validate with your integrator what version of ICVERIFY they support before you upgrade your ICVERIFY. *If your integrator doesn t support the current supported version then have them contact the ICVERIFY support desk to get support needed. *Reminder that ICVERIFY help desk support on versions older than ended in July The helpdesk will however support older versions when you re upgrading to the current release. For more information please contact your First Data Relationship Manager or Sales Rep. You will need Admin Rights on your PC to install the ICVERIFY SSL Patch successfully. Please make sure you have admin access before proceeding with this update. If you feel you may need assistance anywhere throughout this process, you may want to contact the ICVERIFY Support Desk before starting this update. The support desk can be reached at Agents will be available to assist between 8am and 10pm EST, 7 days a week.

2 Steps to install the ICVERIFY SSL Patch on your current ICVERIFY version 1. Before proceeding with the SSL Patch installation, please close (settle) all open batches for all the active merchant accounts being used. This step is very important to minimize any funding losses due to unsettled batches in case of any inadvertent issue during the patch update. 2. Gracefully shutdown all instances of the ICVERIFY application running on your machine. If you are running the ICVERIFY Multi User File Processor (icvmlt32.exe) program as a Windows Service, please stop the service. The following Windows Services need to be stopped before proceeding with the patch installation: a. icvmlt32 service (ICVERIFY Multi User Processor service) b. ICVTnsServer service (ICVERIFY Transaction Processor service) c. JCard Service d. PCVXFileMonitor service If you are running ICVERIFY GUI (icverify.exe) and Multi User Processor (icvmlt32.exe) as standalone, please close these applications as well before proceeding. 3. Take a backup the jcard.properties file that is located inside the Jcard folder within your ICVERIFY installation directory, at some other suitable backup location. 4. Download the 'JcardSSLUpdate.zip' file to your local machine and extract the zip file contents. The following files should be present within the extracted folder: a. JcardUpdate.vbs b. Jcard.jar c. Jcard.ks d. cacerts e. cacerts_402 f. lang.properties g. lang_es_es.properties h. lang_fr_ca.properties i. ICVERIFY SSL Patch - Installation Guide.pdf j. Jcard (folder) k. jre1.6.0 (folder)

3 5. Open Windows Command Prompt. If you are using Windows 7 or Windows Vista operating system, please open the Command Prompt as an Administrator (run the command prompt with Run as Administrator ). To start the Command Prompt as Administrator, you can follow the below steps: a. Click on the Windows Start button. b. Then type cmd on the Search programs and files textbox. c. The Command Prompt (cmd.exe) program will be displayed as shown below. d. Right click on the cmd.exe program and select Run as administrator as shown below. This will start the Windows Command Prompt as an administrator.

4 6. From within Windows Command Prompt, navigate to the extracted folder location (where the ZIP file contents were extracted in step 4 above). 7. Run the following command from within command prompt. cscript JcardUpdate.vbs > JcardUpdate.log The above command will run the VB script JcardUpdate.vbs on your machine which will update the SSL certificate and DW App ID that is used for transaction processing with Datawire. 8. Once SSL Patch update is complete, the following message prompt will appear to confirm the successful installation of the SSL Patch. 9. Close the command prompt window, the SSL Certificate and DW App ID updates are now complete. The SSL certificates used to communicate with Datawire should now be upgraded to 2048 bit as required by Datawire. The ICVERIFY application ID will also be updated as needed by Datawire.

5 10. Restart the ICVERIFY GUI (or ICVERIFY Multi User Processor) and continue with your transaction processing. Please start up all the Windows Services which were stopped in step 2. If you were running ICVERIFY Multi User Processor as a Windows Service, you can restart the service now and continue with your transaction processing. The SSL Patch update is now complete.
