3 Introduction Prodanet MDS provides a qualified import of the product master data from the suppliers into the NG MasterData system of Media-Saturn. Therefore the content (all active and Media-Saturn relevant products) is delivered from the suppliers to MDS, which is validating the master data content, and exporting it to the NG MasterData system. The main idea of Prodanet MDS is to continuously deliver high quality master data content to the NG MasterData system. The web portal plays an important role where the master data teams of Media- Saturn have the possibility to check the supplier s content. Here the imported supplier data as well as data exported by MDS to the NG MasterData system is shown. Furthermore, the content that contains errors is listed; assisting Media-Saturn team members to get in touch with the suppliers on a high level with information on the error content that could not be imported. Example: Mandatory properties that are needed for importing data into the NG MasterData system are missing. 4 Detailed On-Boarding Procedure The following onboarding procedure describes the different steps the supplier has to follow to successfully start delivering the master data content to Media-Saturn. 1. The Excel file (MSH_MasterData_Content) has to be filled with supplier data to check if all the needed master data content can be delivered by the supplier. The necessary, Media-Saturn relevant content like MSH product group ID, medium and tax key is documented in the corresponding file. a _Mediumbrowser.xls b _MSH Produktgruppenstruktur.xlsx c _MWST.xls 2. The supplier sends the MSH_MasterData_Content Excel file to the Media-Saturn responsible contact person to confirm the master data content by When Media-Saturn confirms by that all needed fields are filled properly, next step is to define the standard format at the supplier side by which the master data content is sent to MDS. Two different standard formats are available for sending the master data content to MDS. a. Option: CSV Format b. Option: PRICAT Format 4. Once the file format is defined by supplier the technical transmission way has to be defined by that the master data file will be sent to MDS. a. Option: AS2 Connection b. Option: SFTP Connection c. Option: FTPS Connection d. Option: FTP Connection Therefore the supplier has to send the completed document MDSMS_Technical_Onboarding to Prodanet by . The contact address is announced in the document itself. 5. Prodanet sends back the credential information and a confirmation by , when the onboarding process is done and a first file can be sent using the agreed technical method. When the technical connection is established and the file has passed the functionality test, the automatic process is ready to start. 6 Roles The Media-Saturn master data team of the specific country is responsible for the first level support and communication with the suppliers. They discuss the needs and quality and are responsible for the supplier onboarding. The EDINAT or named contact person of the country supports the master data team within the supplier discussions. They will be in charge when the master data team cannot answer detailed questions about the Prodanet MDS solution. The suppliers are responsible for the data quality and make sure that the import errors of products, which could not be imported by MDS and are shown in the Prodanet MDS web portal, are reviewed. Prodanet is the third level support for technical issues and setting up the technical content delivery. They support the master data team and the EDINAT in case of technical issues and open topics associated to the suppliers. Prodanet also helps with the onboarding process of new suppliers regarding the technical connectivity.
