Enabling/Regulating Authority Chapter 125, Florida Statutes. County Government. Background Discussion The Manatee County Chapter No. 18 Disabled American Veterans Inc.currently has a long-term lease of county property located on 63 Avenue East (see Location Map below). The Disabled American Veterans Chapter has requested that Manatee County terminate the lease and convey the property to the Chapter. This conveyance will transfer ownership from Manatee County to Manatee County Chapter No. 18 Disabled American Veterans, Inc. This property is known as the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Building. The deed includes a provision reserving the utility easement and a reverter clause in case the property is ever put to a non-public-purpose use.
