How to Get There BY AIR Air New Zealand operates direct flights from Auckland to Honolulu three to four days a week. Connecting flights are available from major New Zealand cities. From Honolulu, Hawaiian Airlines operates flights to the islands of Maui, Kaua i and Hawai i, the Big Island. FLIGHT DURATION FROM/TO AUCKLAND Honolulu 8 hours 45 minutes Driving Take the time to explore and discover as you make your way around the Hawaiian islands. Driving is on the right hand side of the road. Entry Requirements All travellers must carry a machine readable passport valid for at least six months beyond the date of departure. Waikiki Beach The crescent beach of Waikiki is the perfect place to learn to surf and is known as the birthplace of modern surfing. Hawai i Volcanoes National Park Get a close up look at the world s most active volcano in the 330,000 acre Hawai i National Park on Hawai i, the Big Island.
