1 Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP) Course 1: Data Networking The Data Networking course teaches you the fundamentals of networking. Through hands-on training, you will learn the vendor-independent networking skills and concepts necessary for entry-level professionals seeking employment in the Information Technology (IT) or telecommunications industries. In Data Networking, you will learn to identify networking models and topologies, describe the function and purpose of network operating systems, and monitor system performance. 3 Convergence Technologies Professional (CTP) Course 2: Telephony Networking The Telephony Networking course provides detailed coverage of telephony standards and best practices for North America. Through hands-on training, you will learn the vendor-independent telephony skills and concepts necessary for entry-level professionals seeking employment in the telecommunications industry. In Telephony Networking, you will learn about basic telephony concepts, including loop-start trunks, common telephony standards, and PBX elements. From tip and ring to CO switches, you will learn how voice and data are routed across the global public switched telephone network.
