2 ~ Purpose ~ The purpose of the BA Steering Committee is to identify and address common issues of Health Association Nova Scotia member facilities participating in the benefits plans. The committee does not necessarily make decisions that affect plan design; rather, they provide their knowledge and input into the overall process.

3 ~ Goal ~ The goal of the BA Steering Committee is to create a proactive, supportive and progressive environment that supports the administration of benefits to Health Association Nova Scotia organizations and the people who work within these organizations.

4 ~ Objectives ~ The objectives of the BA Steering Committee are: 1. To identify and address areas of shared concern 2. To support and facilitate an efficient and timely flow of information between Health Association Nova Scotia, its suppliers, its members and their employees 3. To support and facilitate an efficient Premium process 4. To make recommendation(s) to the appropriate bodies

9 ~ Progress Report ~ Provided feedback for the new Critical Illness Dependent Child Enhancement Previewed LTD Plan Text Key Changes and Information WebEx Education Session (September 2010) Reviewed the Monthly Reconciliation Process Have on going SAP information sessions with representatives of HASP Have on going education sessions related to Benefits Administration
