3 The CASLON is an InkJet-based press combining the advanced flexibility of digital printing with the proven reliability of conventional printing and converting

4 CASLON brings digital printing back to the press room, combining high quality digital printing with conventional printing and converting CASLON increases productivity and makes versioning simple. The CASLON inks are comparable to conventional flexo and screen inks and offer high ink adhesion on standard materials, as well as high scratch resistance without varnishing. The CASLON printing system is mounted on a standard Nilpeter FA-platform and can be configured as a standalone digital printing engine, or incorporated as a module within a given FA-configuration. Since the CASLON is completely digital, no plates are needed. Some of the latest features include a new InkJetbased, digital spot colour unit that prints UV-curable ink on a wide range of substrates. This option not only enhances the printing capabilities significantly, but also completely eliminates conventional prepress procedures, speeds up production times, and minimises costs through improved job control. Furthermore, a new and revolutionary workflow system specialised for labels and packaging offers seamless integration of all job parameters to any printing process - CASLON digital UV-InkJet as well as conventional printing processes.
