3 Digital Flexo: digitally operated technologies for automated printing and converting Print Register Print Pressure Die-Cutting Pressure Matrix stripping Print Tutor A GIDUE HD Digital Camera reads a dedicated mark printed by each unit. It recognizes register deviation and dot gain and informs the servo motors on the press. Print Tutor Plus 4 mini servo-motors receive data of actual print from the Print Tutor Camera, confronts with the PDF/TIFF file, and corrects the printing pressure and register according to the original file. Vario Gap 2 mini servo-motors adjust the cutting height of the impression roller to the different thicknesses of the self-adhesive substrates. Quick Cut The press performs automatically the waste stripping without any manual support from the operator. Waste stripping is fully automated. 4 Master M5 is interactive File Management Visual Quality eyes The press can talk to the operator informing him of the current quality status of each print unit, and eventually informing the MIS system. Master M5 warns the operator of eventual mistakes during plate mounting or print cylinder mounting on the press. M5 interacts with the MIS/JDF company system receiving the original data and distributing them to the press and to the plate mounting equipment. JDF/MIS system can set orders and priorities to the operators via the main PC press interface for eventual paper-less management. Hawk To avoid mistakes in plate mounting, original JDF/MIS Files are confronted with the actual plates mounted on the press. If mistakes are detected. wrong print cylinders are instantly rejected by the press, through an RFID GIDUE exclusive technology. Gilda Each print unit informs of its current status of quality (register and print pressure) to let him check instantly the performances of the press, while eventually taking care of next job preparation etc. Master M5 is connected via Internet to GIDUE operators for instant service diagnostics, SW upgrades and repairs. 4

The Master M5 is an effi cient solution to produce labels and unlimited packaging with low set-up costs, fast change-over times and controlled digital quality in production. The open front technology allows for multiple creative labels, booklets, coupons etc. (upper deck). The short web path on large wrap chilled drums allows for excellent register stability on all substrates even without register control (middle deck).
