2 Dental care is the most common unmet health need It can affect overall health Much oral disease can be prevented Lack of services and resources for many communities Very low provider-population ratio of dentists to population Restrictive laws on use of dental hygienists Harder for dentists who were trained out of state to relocate to NC, because of the licensure exam Smiles for Life Curriculum
