5 Educational Information The 2015 Virginia Oral Health Summit will explore population health indicators, cross-disciplinary relationships and other innovative techniques that clinicians and community members can use to improve health in vulnerable populations. This program is appropriate for dentists, dental hygienists, physicians, physician assistants, nurses, social workers and anyone interested in the subject matter. Teaching methods will be lecture, small group discussion and question and answer. No prior skill level or knowledge is required to attend. Marissa Levine, MD, MPH, Susan Pharr, RDH, MPH, and Kami A. Piscitelli, BSDH, RDH, are employed by the Virginia Department of Health, a Distinguished sponsor of the 2015 Virginia Oral Health Summit. Lisa Thomas, MSW, EdS, has received grant funding from the Virginia Department of Health and the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Services - both are Distinguished sponsors of the 2015 Virginia Oral Health Summit. Discuss interprofessional collaboration approaches and barriers among medical and dental providers. 3. Review dental benefits available to pregnant women enrolled in Virginia s Medicaid and FAMIS MOMS programs. 4. Identify oral health care techniques for adults with special health care needs. 5. Review oral health integration strategies appropriate for medical and dental practices and comprehensive health care systems. The Virginia Dental Association is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. The Virginia Dental Association designates this activity for and 4.75 continuing education credits. This continuing education activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the standards of the ADA Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) through joint efforts between The Virginia Dental Association and the Virginia Oral Health Coalition.
