4 Introduction RealShot Manager (RSM) is the management software for the remote monitoring system via IP network. RSM is able to manage multiple cameras and preset settings each of cameras and record video stream via network. Furthermore, RSM can control the schedule of recording and playback the recorded video stream. RSM Compression Server enables change of the image quality of the Web client by use with RSM Web Gateway. 1

6 Installation of software Double-click the file of the downloaded package. In order to install this software on Windows 2000/XP you will require local administrator rights.. Step1 Since InstallShield Wizard is started, click Next button. Step2 The directory which installs software is specified. It is installed in C: Program Files Sony RSM Image Compressor by the default. When you change an installation directory, push the Change button and choose directory. If you do not change, push Next button. 3

7 Step3 An installation start screen is displayed. Click Install button and start installation. Step4 Since the installation end screen is displayed, Finish button is clicked.. 4

8 Starting method of service Step1 Start service menu from management tool of control panel. Double-click RSM Image Compressor with a mouse, and start property. 5

9 Registration method of server Connect with RSM Web Gateway from a web browser, and register RSM Compression Server. RSM Web Gateway already needs to be installed. Step1 Start web browser and connect with RSM Web Gateway. When the login screen is displayed, login by user of RealShot Manager administrator authority. Step2 Choose RSM managed menu. 6

10 Step3 Choose RSM Image Compressor. Step4 Input IP address of the machine which installed RSM Compression Server. RSM Compression Server uses the port number If input finishes, push save button 7

11 Uninstallation of software Step1 If RSM Image Compressor service has started, stop service. Step2 Start Add or Remove Programs of Windows control panel. 8

12 Step 3 Choose RSM Image Compressor and click deletion button. Step 4 Check message is outputted. If you uninstall, click Yes button. 9
