STEIN We have a simple mission: to prevent and cure mental illness and addiction. To achieve this mission, CRI conducts clinical studies and partners with leading research institutions to produce breakthrough discoveries and advance the treatment, prevention and eventual cure of mental illness and addiction disorders. We also work to enhance patient care by reducing the number of years it takes innovative developments to become standard clinical practice. We do this by leveraging technology to help healthcare providers have faster access to the latest treatments and practices. In addition to this, CRI advocates for needed policy changes, and helps other organizations benchmark their own systems and practices. Working in concert with our collaborators, CRI is improving the way healthcare is delivered not only in the behavioral health field, but in the larger medical community. STEIN
3 A MISSION that Matters. A MISSION that Matters. MISSION that Matters. A MISSION that Matters. SION that Matters. atters. A MISSION that Matters. ISSION that Matters. CRI is driven to create a brighter future for the millions of individuals who have mental illness or addiction disorders. In the United States today more than 33 million Americans seek help for mental illness or substance abuse each year. Research has shown that over 60 percent of these individuals nearly 20 million people will not receive appropriate care for their conditions. With the wrong interventions, these conditions can worsen and become chronic, negatively impacting entire communities and driving up healthcare costs. Contributing to this phenomenon is the gap that exists between research and clinical care. It is estimated that there is an alarming year delay in the use of mental health research findings in clinical settings. This means the newest advances in mental health treatment can take more than a decade to get in the hands of the healthcare providers and patients who need them. CRI is changing healthcare delivery for the better and seeing that those with mental health and addiction disorders have access to the most effective and appropriate treatments possible.
4 Translating RESEARCH into Practice. Translating RESEARCH into Practice. The Knowledge Network is a national technologybased, partner-driven alliance to facilitate the translation of research to practice. It brings together mental health centers, academic researchers, behavioral health advocates, industry leaders and policymakers from across the country to stimulate new collaborations, encourage academic research in applied research settings, and impact federal funding and policy initiatives. ranslating RESEARCH Practice. into Translating into Practice. CRI s Enlighten Analytics is an easy-to-use, interactive tool that transforms an organization s data into functional, insightful information that can help improve operations, reduce costs and enhance patient care. It takes the millions of rows of data that a behavioral health organization collects each day and turns them into understandable charts that provide a clearer picture of that organization s strengths and weaknesses. Translating RESEARCH into Practice. Translating RESEARCH into Practice. Translating RESEARCH into Practice. At CRI, we understand that advancing healthcare is not something that can be done alone it takes the dedication, drive and cooperation of many. That is why we have a network of partners around the world researchers, healthcare providers and innovators that works with us to advance research, technology and practice. CRI also maintains an Institutional Review Board and offers Behavioral Pathway Systems, a best practices benchmarking service. Our Predictive Modeling capabilities offer a cutting-edge personalized medicine tool that helps clinicians improve treatment outcomes and patient care. CRI s predictive modeling work aims to significantly increase the accuracy of healthcare providers correct first-time diagnoses and enable more person-centered treatment. CRI s Evaluation Division provides program evaluation, data management services, and technical support.
