These innovations come at a price, though, and some buyers may find the implementation costs a bit too steep. This WMS app benefits from substantial integration with Oracle s E- Business Suite and the company s current-generation technology. However, it lacks the functional depth provided by some other market players, making it an iffy choice for those who aren t already using E-Business Suite. RedPrairie s system has developed a solid reputation for helping complex warehouses, thanks to its strong integration with other applications like yard, labor, and transportation management. Some analysts have cautioned that the company may not have enough staff and resources to manage this growing popularity. SAP s WMS enjoys robust integration with the SAP Business Suite and a vast array of extended capabilities like yard and labor management. Buyers should be aware, however, that this is not the most user-friendly WMS option out there, and users will also find the system difficult to modify. This company has had great success with small to midsize operations, due in part to its market-leading architecture. Despite this success, Sterling Commerce has not been able to match the sales of its competitors, and its system has not really been tested in larger operations.
