LSU HOW IT WORKS With loyal support from LSU fans, Tiger Athletic Foundation is dedicated to enhancing LSU and its athletic program. LSU has a proud athletic tradition, highlighted by scores of Southeastern Conference and NCAA championships in 21 men s and women s varsity sports. Thanks to the generosity of its members, TAF plays an integral role in sustaining that outstanding tradition. As the primary source of private funding for LSU Athletics, TAF s mission is clear - to lead the university in building a comprehensively superior athletic program. Contributions to TAF benefit every student-athlete and every team at LSU through scholarship and academic awards, as well as through the construction and maintenance of athletic facilities. These projects, large and small, chart the unmistakable course to excellence. And it is the shared vision of alumni and friends of LSU that make excellence a reality at LSU. Your donation assists TAF in its programs of support for LSU Athletics. 5 TAF Joe Alleva Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics LSU R. G. Richard Major General, USMC (Ret.) President and Chief Executive Officer TAF Tiger Athletic Foundation works in collaboration with LSU Athletics to create the optimum experience for student-athletes in their quest to win championships and earn a diploma. TAF is proud of the role it plays in the continued excellence of LSU Athletics in competition, in the classroom and in the community. TAF has played a significant role in LSU s sustained success over the course of the last dozen years, including the construction of the east and west sides of Tiger Stadium, the renovation of the Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes, the construction of Mike the Tiger s habitat and the addition of the Football Operations Center. TAF was also responsible for the renovation of the University Club Golf Course, the construction of the Basketball Practice Facility and the suites in Alex Box Stadium. Most recently, TAF funded more improvements to Tiger Stadium, with the renovation of the north end exterior façade, the addition of a new gating system and plaques that recognize the great Tiger football players of the past. Now TAF has embarked on a new era of expansion for Tiger Stadium with a south stadium end zone addition that will bring the capacity of Death Valley to approximately 100,000 seats. On the horizon are new facilities for our tennis and gymnastics programs, along with a nutrition center for our student-athletes. These are the next big steps in keeping LSU Athletics among the elite programs in college sports. These are exciting times for LSU Athletics and you can be proud of the Tiger Athletic Foundation s role in this unprecedented era of success. Together we all make LSU a better place for our student-athletes, coaches, fans and alumni. Thank you for your loyal support of LSU and its athletic programs. GEAUX TIGERS! 7 TAF TAF DONATION vs. TRADITION FUND The Tradition Fund consists of annual seat donations associated with football, basketball, and baseball season tickets paid to the LSU Athletic Department. The tradition fund was implemented in 2004 for football. Approximately 45,000 football season tickets have an LSU Tradition Fund donation associated with their tickets and parking permit. Tradition Fund donations are often confused with the TAF annual seat donations. A limited amount of football season tickets and parking permits carry an annual TAF donation. Both Tradition Fund and TAF seats are included in the pool of available inventory for upgrades and new seat assignments. Tradition Fund donations are now the same price levels as the per seat TAF donations. These donations earn 1 point per $1,000 donated and do receive fractional priority point credit. There are football season tickets that do not have a seat donation associated with them through the LSU Athletic Department. All football season tickets through TAF have a seat donation. 25 Football Academic All-Americans 46 National Team Championships 4

LSU HOW TO CONTRIBUTE There are several ways to become a donor of Tiger Athletic Foundation. Gifts are acknowledged by a tax letter from TAF at year end. Here are just a few of the ways to support LSU Athletics: METHODS OF GIVING Long-Term Pledge You may pledge to donate to TAF and then set up a payment schedule as you see fit. A pledge card must be filled out for all long-term pledges to indicate the amount of the pledge, the program that the pledge is directed toward, and the number of years in which the pledge is intended to be paid off. Points are awarded based on cash received. One Time Gift You may choose to give your entire gift at one time. AREAS TO DIRECT GIFTS Capital Programs LSU Athletics constantly strives to have the best facilities in the nation. When it comes to maintaining our competitive advantage in this important area, there is always a need for capital gifts. World class facilities are not only important for recruiting the nation s best and brightest student-athletes; they are essential since we have made a commitment to all of our studentathletes to provide them with the best tools to use toward their academic and athletic goals. Scholarship Endowments In an effort to permanently fund LSU athletic scholarships in every sport, TAF has developed the Foundation of Champions Endowment Program. There are many different endowment levels available, up to and including a fully-endowed $250,000 scholarship that would bear your name and pay tribute to a former letterwinner. The goal of this program is to provide a perpetual source of financial support for athletic scholarships through a general scholarship endowment fund. The interest generated from the endowed scholarships will be used to offset the scholarship costs for current student-athletes. As costs for scholarships continue to climb, building a healthy endowment is vital to continue recruiting the best and brightest. Annual Scholarships The Tiger Pride Annual Athletic Scholarship Fund provides financial support to fund scholarships for LSU student-athletes through a general scholarship fund. Funds raised help offset the costs for tuition, fees, books, and room and board for over 450 LSU studentathletes. Scholarship costs continue to rise. For LSU to maintain its ranking among the elite collegiate athletic programs, it is vital to build a healthy annual scholarship fund. TAF Champions Fund A donation towards TAF Champions Fund supports the annual operations of TAF. As a TAF Champions Fund member, you will have the opportunity to attend the TAF Tailgate Parties. 28 LSU NCAA COMPLIANCE INFORMATION As you may know the NCAA defines a booster in a number of ways, but perhaps the most recognizable is simply as an individual who makes a financial contribution to the athletic department or to a specific athletic booster organization. As a member of Tiger Athletic Foundation, it is important to know that you are indeed considered to be a Booster of LSU Athletics because of the definition above. As a booster of LSU, we ask for your help in understanding and abiding by the following information to ensure that our programs operate consistent with NCAA and SEC rules and regulations. The information listed is intended to remind you of some basic principles that all LSU Boosters should be aware of. For additional information and guidelines you should review the Compliance Department s pamphlet: NCAA Rules & Regulations for Boosters SEC Team Championships 5 Volleyball All-Americans (3 1st team)

TAF SIX QUICK POINTS TO REMEMBER: 1. Don t do anything for a recruit or enrolled student-athlete without specific and clear authorization from the LSU Athletic Department. 2. Only coaches and athletic department staff members may be involved in the recruiting process. 3. A prospect remains a recruit until they maintain a full-time schedule of classes (12 hours or more) and have physically attended class. 4. The rules against contact with a recruit are not intended to relate to unavoidable incidental contacts between a prospect and a booster. Such contact is permissible so long as it is: Not prearranged by the booster or an athletic department staff member Doesn t take place on the grounds of the recruits educational institution (High School/Junior College) or at his/her practice or competition site It is not made for the purpose of recruitment and involves normal civility In other words, if you meet a recruit during the normal course of business or social activities, there is no violation as long as you don t discuss LSU athletics. Politely inform the recruit that all questions and discussion about LSU athletics should be directed to the coaching staff. 5. If a current student-athlete accepts any benefit based on his/her special consideration as an athlete or because of athletics skill, the student-athlete may lose eligibility for intercollegiate competition or practice. 6. NCAA rules regarding student-athletes remain in effect throughout the entire year, including summer vacation. Want more information? For more details you can visit the new LSU compliance website at compliance. Specific information regarding your interaction as a booster can be found under the Fans & Boosters tab at the top of the webpage. 15 Softball All-Americans (6 1st Team) 109 Gymnastics All-American Honors 26

LSU FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Q. Is my contribution to Tiger Athletic Foundation tax deductible? A. Deductibility of charitable contributions is governed by section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. You should consult with your tax advisor. Q. How is my gift to Tiger Athletic Foundation used? A. Your gift is used for student-athlete scholarship costs, facility upgrades, and general operating budget needs. With over 450 student-athletes on campus the role Tiger Athletic Foundation plays is critical to the success of the LSU Athletic program. Q. How does membership aid you in acquiring tickets? A. Demand for benefits such as tickets and parking passes created the need for a system to be established in which these benefits could be distributed fairly. The LSU Priority Point System allows us to track financial support and award benefits. Q. How are new season tickets assigned? A. New season ticket and parking permit requests will be processed through waiting lists available at Available season tickets and permits will be assigned in Philanthropic Priority Point order by the LSU Athletic Ticket Office and TAF. Q. How can I improve my current football season tickets? A. Complete the LSU and TAF Seating/ Parking Upgrade Form that is located at and submit to the LSU Athletic Ticket Office by March 31. In order for the ticket office to be aware of your interests for upgrade/relocation you must fill out the upgrade form every year. Each request is specific to the year and seat location. Previous requests will not be considered. TAF and the LSU Ticket Office do not imply or make any guarantee to season ticket holders regarding the upgrade/relocation of seats. Upgrade requests will be sorted by the LSU Philanthropic Priority Point rankings as of March 31. Please be aware that ticket limitations will be considered in regard to ticket/ parking relocations. Q. Why does my friend not have to give as much as me, yet he has better seats than I do? A. Your friend might have had season tickets for many years and has renewed them accordingly. He can keep his or her existing seat location as long as he/she pays the seat donation connected with the season tickets each year. That amount might be less than your annual donation. Q. How can I change the name(s) on an account due to marriage, divorce, or death? A. Provide the appropriate legal document (i.e. marriage license, divorce decree, death certificate, etc.) to the LSU Athletic Ticket Office and TAF in order to make any changes. You may fax, mail, or hand-deliver a copy for our records. We will make the changes to your account once the appropriate documentation has been received, verified, processed and approved. All transfer policies will be applicable to the tickets that must be transferred. Q. Why is there a renewal deadline? A. Because of the great demand for the best seating locations and the limited release of tickets each season, a deadline is set so vacant seats can be offered to season ticket holders requesting a seat change or to new season ticket holders. Due 29 1 Gymnastics SEC Championship 5 Men s Tennis SEC Championships

TAF to the high volume of requests to be processed, the renewal deadline must be strictly enforced. Q. Once I obtain season tickets, can I renew them every year? A. Payment for the seat donations must be received by the renewal deadline in order to be eligible for the same seating location. The renewal deadlines are: March 31 Football August 31 Men s and Women s Basketball October 31 - Baseball Q. How do I request additional season tickets? A. You will need to place your name on the season ticket wait list located at LSU Priority Points will be frozen on March 31 for football and October 31 for baseball for distribution of any available season tickets. If seats are available when your Philanthropic Priority Point ranking is reached, you will be contacted with available seat locations. Available season tickets are totally dependent on renewals, how many people are on the wait list and what your philanthropic ranking is on the wait list as of the freeze date. Q. When will I receive my season tickets? A. Football season tickets are usually shipped during the month of August to all season ticket accounts that have a physical address. Q. Where do I find my priority point total? A. Your priority point total can be viewed by accessing your online TAF account. Please use your username and password to sign-in. You will need to establish a password if you have not already done so. Q. How do I change the address/contact information on my account? A. You may change all address/contact information by accessing your online TAF account. You may also send a written request via , fax, or mail to change your contact information. Please be sure to include your account number and your previous contact information. Q. Does giving to Tiger Athletic Foundation qualify me for any special recognition? A. Yes. Annual gifts may qualify you for recognition at certain levels with benefits. Please refer to the Donor Benefit Chart on page 6. Q. If I make a gift to the business school or another part of campus other than athletics, does that gift count as a gift to Tiger Athletic Foundation? A. Donations made through the LSU Alumni Association and Foundation earn 1 point per $4,000. It is not considered a direct donation to Tiger Athletic Foundation. Q. What if I can t attend a game or want to give my tickets to someone else? A. The LSU Athletic Ticket Office offers the Ticket Marketplace and electronic ticket forwarding programs as convenient methods to sell or share your tickets. As a season ticket holder in football, basketball, and/or baseball, you can resell your tickets on the LSU Ticket Marketplace on an event-by-event basis safely and securely. This allows other LSU fans the opportunity to attend games that you may be unable to attend. If you simply want to give your individual game tickets to friends or family, electronic ticket forwarding allows you to send your tickets electronically via so that they may be conveniently printed and used.
