18 About the Instructors H. Kent Baker, PhD, CFA, is a university professor of finance at the Kogod School of Business at American University in Washington, DC. He has consulting and training experience with more than 100 organizations. Baker has presented more than 700 training programs, including various CFA prep courses in the U.S. and Europe. He has more than 175 publications in academic and professional journals and has co-authored or edited several books, including Understanding Financial Management: A Practical Guide. Baker received his PhD from American University. Dr. Greg Filbeck, CFA, FRM, CAIA joined the faculty of Penn State Erie as professor of finance in 2006 and holds the Black Family Endowed Professorship of Insurance and Risk Management. He has published more than 55 articles in refereed journals and authored two books. In addition to 10 years of experience in academia, he has seven years of experience as senior vice-president of Schweser, a division of Kaplan, Inc. He has trained candidates worldwide for the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations. Ehsan Nikbakht, DBA, CFA, FRM, PRM, has more than 18 years of professional corporate training in capital markets, equity, fixed income, risk management and derivatives. He has trained more than 1,000 CFA and FRM candidates. Nikbakht holds full professorship in finance at the Frank G. Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University.
