1 Annual Goals for Computer Information Systems Goal : Academic Improvement Academic Improvement Initiative for CSIS Department:. Conduct curriculum review in light of most recent ABET standards for accreditation of computer information systems programs and computer science programs. 2. Development of a certificate program focused on SAP and identify existing courses which would support this certificate within the CIS MBA concentration. 3. Develop a minor in software development/computer programming which would target students who were returning to retool or enhance their skills from previous degrees or other disciplines. 339 Goal 2: Assessment Process Enhance the assessment process within the CSIS department. Continuing to organize and meet with the CSIS Industrial Advisory Board; 2. continuing to advance our assessment of learning outcomes program as detailed in the CIS self study report to ABET and the standards alignmnet plan for AACSB; and 3. Continuing to advance the assessment of learning outcomes program for CS begun in past years in preparation for SACS and ABET accreditaion.

2 Goal 3: Global Awareness Expand the opportunities for students to have international learning experninces and awareness of the global economy.support the College of Business initiative to raise funds and send at least 2 students on a learning experience in Asia. 2.Introduce global topics related to computing in at least two CIS courses and one CS course.,3 Goal 4: Recruitment Enhance efforts to increase the number of CIS and CS students at the undergraduate level. expand efforts to recruit students from

3 area high schools 2. expand efforts to recruit students from community colleges. 2,5 Goal 5: Student Professional Involvement Increase student involvement in professional organizations and activities.. Support students in their activites involving the AIS and ACM student chapters at both the local and national level 2. Encourage students to enter ACM, AIS, and PBL conpetitions 3. Encourage students to seek certifications in their areas of interest. 2

4 Long-Term Goals for Computer Information Systems Title: ABET Budget: 000 University Goals: Accomplished: Spent: $ Continue to address all ABET requirements to related to positioning for ABET Information Systems accreditation maintenance and Computer Science initial accreditation. ABET self study year is The Computer Science curriculum review conducted in Fall 20 yielded a few areas of change to assure full compliance with ABET curriculum standards and those changes have all been approved by all curriculum committees and ACHE and are effective Fall 202. Curriculum review of CIS program has no major modifications necessary for meeting ABET curricullum standards. Faculty in both areas have qualifications in accord with ABET standards. Plans are underway for completion of the assessment cycle during for all learning outcomes in each program. Title: Budget: 0 University Goals: Accomplished: AACSB Continue to position the COB and CSIS Department for AACSB accreditation. This includes work of each CIS faculty member who is seeking to maintain or achieve AQ or PQ status. It also includes the half time assignment of the Department Chair who serves as Associate Dean for Accreditation and Information Technology. CIS faculty have continued efforts to maintain or achieve AQ or PQ status. Currently one full time faculty member and all adjunct faculty members two comtinue to classified as either Academically Qualified or Professionally Qualified. Of the remaining 9 full time faculty, 8 have achieved the required doctoral degree status and have documented the required intellectual

5 Spent: $0.00 contributions within the last five years for Academically qualified status. This CSIS is now in compliance with the AACSB standard related to faculty qualifications. The Department Chair continues to serve as Associate Dean and has submitted and updated all documents as requested by the PReaccreditation committee of AACSB.
