5 Ars Nova Copenhagen specializes in the interpretation of the polyphonic choral music of the renaissance and new vocal music. The group s performances are marked with precision and nerve and with a sound that attracts attention worldwide. Ars Nova has toured in more than 35 countries on 5 continents and has recorded about 40 CDs. In 2010 the group received a Grammy for a CD featuring music by David Lang. 7 The Mogens Dahl Chamber Choir is a professional ensemble of handpicked singers from across Scandinavia, searching for a new Nordic Cool in vocal music, The goal of the ensemble is to influence the future agenda of Scandinavian vocal music, and this vision has sent the choir on a constant quest for new horizons. The choir often performs new music by established Nordic composers. Mogens Dahl s visionary work with Nordic vocal music has led to high-profile cooperation with composers and musicians across established genre boundaries. 11 The classical music festival Holmboe i Horsens is held every year over a long weekend in March in the cultural city of Horsens. The festival is named after Danish composer Vagn Holmboe ( ), who was born in Horsens and features in part in the festival s programme. The overall goal of the festival is to present classical and contemporary music to a broad audience. The high-quality programme includes musical events, workshops, and concerts with an edge aimed at a mixed mature audience of enthusiasts and beginners alike as well as the classical music audience of the future: young people and children. SNYK works on a four year organizational funding scheme from the Danish Arts Foundation and its overall task is to promote the scene in Denmark and the Danish scene abroad.
